With over 189 million customers Orange is the 5th largest telecommunications company in the world. Hutchinson's Telecoms created the Orange brand in 1994 for their mobile phone network. In 2000 France Telecom took over the company and in 2006 Wanadoo was also re-branded under the Orange name. Orange has a massive global footprint with over thirty five countries covered by the Orange network including Spain, Russia, China and the United States. The company Everything Anywhere Ltd took over Orange and T-Mobile merging the two company's, although both brands will keep their name's and the the shops will also still trade under Orange and T-Mobile it is thought that eventually customers will be able to access both networks giving better network coverage.

Orange contracts are very competitive with customers having the option of pay monthly deals or pay as you go. You can choose from four price plans that are made to suit individual needs. You can choose from the following Orange contract deals, these are dolphin, racoon, panther and canary. The dolphin price plan gives you extra texts, email and 500 mega-bytes of internet browsing, the racoon price plan gives you unlimited land line calls and more minutes, the panther price plan gives you unlimited texts, email, internet and more and the canary price plan gives unlimited texts and more minutes. You van also get get a value Orange phone deals that are great if you have limited very funds. The Orange contracts range in price from £5 a month to £70 a month. The £5 a month contract is a value Orange contract and has a duration of 36 months with only 50 call time minutes and 50 texts, the free mobile phone is very basic too. If you opt for a mid range contract the deals can vary but if you choose a panther price plan you can get 600 anytime minutes, unlimited texts, internet and sat nav based on a 24 month period for £32.50 a month and you can choose from either a Blackberry or one of the other latest phones for free. If you would rather not be tied down to an Orange contract then the pay as you go option will be best for you with the same animal concept as you get with the Orange contracts so whenever you top your phone up with £10 you will get free minutes texts or internet. You can also choose from the monkey price plan giving you unlimited music downloads or the camel which gives you cheap calls abroad.
