I recently brought a Bluetooth headset from carphone warehouse and was shocked to find that they do not offer refunds on accessories.  I took the Bluetooth headset back to the CPW shop as it was no longer require, it was in the original condition in the box and they wouldn’t give me a refund. Carphone would only offer a exchange or credit note.  I even had the receipt!

I need to get a cheap mobile phone for my dad for xmas.  I have looked around all the mobile phone shops including Dialphone and e2save, but carphonewarehouse seem to have the cheapest deals available.  So I have ordered from carphone warehouse online.

If you spend over 50 quid the phone would get delivered for free, unfortunately for me the phnoe was £49.95 so I had to pay delivery.

There shipping system and tracking is really good, the mobile phone was delivered the next day and I could track the progress of the phone online through the city-link website, these are the couriers.

I would highly recommend carphone warehouse.  It was very easy to order from there website and they took the hassle out of Christmas!

Don't buy from carphone-warehouse 

I too have had a bad experience with the carphone warehouse just over a year ago i purchased the sony ericesson w580i which had to be repaired several times for faulty buttons .On the last occasion i left the phone in for repair when i collected it a few days later only to find that the engineer had broken the camera.To cut a very long short after numerous phone calls and complaining eventualy i was told that my phone was unreparable and i would be sent out a recoditioned phone of the same model which by this stage was 3 months later .I now have had the phone back for 2 months and the saga is starting all over again as the buttons have cracked once more.
I also think that the costomer care leads a lot to be desired as i was told many different things from the staff right from the shop manager down to the assistant that was more interested in his collegue that was selling a new blackberry to another costomer.

Been shopping with carphone for years so understand the last 3 statments to be utter rubbish. 1st of all why would carphone delay you another months line rental? They don't see any of that money the network does. they have already been paid by the network for your 12, 18 month contract. Remember your contract although brought through carphone warehouse, is actually with your network however i have found i usally get better customer service when goin into a carphone store than i do my network. 2nd with any electrical goods that go faulty outside 28days from anywhere, your not entitled to an exchange of product. It has to be fixed by the manufacturer. Can't beleive this person cancelled all his contracts lol. Carphone had probably already been paid by the network at this stage. Got an iphone myself from carphone and guess what, it kept crashing. Called past my local carphone who booked it in for repair and it cost me nothing. i had it back in 3 days. When i asked them about this 45 charge to look at it they laughed. Apparently i only have to pay this if 'I' damage the phone and need to repair it providing i have no insurance which is fair enough. You break something you pay for it tough luck.He then stated this was a set charge for repairs which my friend was glad to here as his fones screen had cracked and the cheapest he had been quoted was £65. They also gave him a loan fone too which was nice of them considering he' did'nt even buy it from there. Trust me i have shopped with every mobile retailer on the high st since mobiles were around and i don't think ive had world class service from any of them. Carphone just happens to be the best!  

Don't buy from carphone-warehouse 

I have an 18 months contract with carphone warehouse which expires next month.  I did not want to continue with the contract so wrote them a letter as stated in the terms and conditions of the contract.  I received a letter back from carphone warehouse saying I had to call.  So I called carphone warehouse customer services where I was told I had to write a letter giving them 30 days notice to cancel my contract.  I told the person on the phone that I had already wrote and they told me I have to write again.  So basically, carphone warehouse will get another months line rental out of me.  Beware of scams like this at carphone warehouse, they will do anything to get more money out of you.

I have been a customer of carphone waqrehouse for several years. In total, I have brought 5 mobile phones from carphone warehouse.  I brought my latest phone, the apple iPhone from carphone warehouse about 2 weeks ago and it broke within a couple of days.  I took the iPhone back to my local branch of carphone warehouse, as soon as the sales lady realized I was there with a problem phone and not to buy a contract she became very rude and unhelpful.  She told me that the carphone warehouse engineer would charge me 45 quid to look at the iPhone.  At this point I had enough of her and let the store.  When I got home I cancelled all my contracts through carphone warehouse due to there after sales support being c**p.  If you are thinking about buying a mobile phone from carphone warehouse be aware that if your mobile phone breaks carphonewarehouse are not really interested.

Don't buy from carphone-warehouse 

carphone warehouse are a waste of time.  I am on my third iPhone now but because this one has lasted more than a month they won't replace it and want to send it away for repairs.  I think carphone warehouse should recall the whole batch as they obviously dodgy.  If carphone warehouse did not have the exclusive on the iPhone I would buy elsewhere!

wish I had waited and got the new google phone direct from t-mobile.
