Don't bother trying to phone Customer Support you just have a load of menus which are intended to wear you down and direct you to emailing. Whatever happened to Customer Service?

Possibly the strangest e-tailer I've ever dealt with.
I am a professional with an excellent credit rating, a mortgage and a good history of mobile contracts.
I applied for a deal which I thought could not be commercially viable for Dialaphone. The following day I received an email saying that my contract application failed their credit check.
Upon calling the call centre the gentleman told me that he could not provide my with any further details but was willing to sell me another contract from their sister company Phones4U at a higher rate.
It all seems a bit strange to me.

I spotted a great offer for an HTC One X which I thought was too good to be true, I debated a little as to whether or not to order - but I did and placed the order first thing on Thursday the 12th of July. Within the 1 hour I received a couple of updates, letting me know that they had received the order and just waiting on approval from the network and would respond in 24 hrs. I am a little impatient and like many think nothing is happening if you hear nothing. I received the next email the following morning saying everything was fine and they will be dispatching the phone for delivery on the 16th and to wait for further updates, and sure enough another email arrived at 6pm to say shipped and to expect delivery of this on Monday the 16th. The phone didn’t arrive on the 16th, it came on Saturday the 14th so even better! Bad reviews happen and its appears quite a few on here, however I can fault Dial a Phone one bit – and know I don’t work for them!

Bought a few from them a few years ago. They basically sent me a 2nd hand phone! There were txt messages on the phone from the previous owner and it wasnt even the right colour.
When i called them, they said they opened it to test that it works....So they sent me another phone. And again the phone had already been used with personal text messages on it. A cousin who works a phone retailer told me that he always wondered where all the phones go when customers come back into the store and want to return it. So it seems they all goto dialaphone and they market them as new phones.
When i tried to return the 2nd phone they said it couldn't as only 1 return per policy. So i was stuck with it.
Will never ever...buy from these shoddy people again.

All they want to do is get you sign the contract, sweet as pie before, once you sign its issue after issue.
I was due for an upgrade in Jan2012. Got the call from them but was going to Carphone warehouse as their fones are unlocked. The sales guy from Dialaphone said he could do an unlocked fone and will throw in £50 cash back and I could go shopping etc etc.
The phone arrived as stated but I was not home so missed delivery. My old sim was disconnected on that day despite me NOT physically having the new handset. I was left without use of my phone. I rang up Orange who explained that DAP does this because they get paid ONLY once new sim is activated.
The new handset was faulty. I rang up before 7 days and was told I would have to post my phone back (be without a phone) and then once they receive it they will post a replacement. I have no other phones to use so I stated this and was told there was nothing that could be done and I should purchase a cheap fone meantime. So basically I should pay for internet etc but buy a £10 which cannot use this service.
Two weeks later the new fone arrived and same thing again I was not in to collect fone and sim was disconnected leaving me without service yet again.
I rang them and all I got was lies, they do take responsibilities for their actions.
Next thing was this TMTI for £18.30 that they didn't tell me I needed to OPT OUT of. Only to find it on my statement. When I queried it they state its on the form with details of how to OPT OUT why not leave it out and give me the opportunity to OPT IN?! The bank took care of the cancellation and refund.
The so-called £50 cashback. What does cash back mean?! Apparently to DAP it means 'redemption' not just any redemption but £10 over the course of 18months!!!!
Then you get these arrogant customer stress reps, who despite you telling them EMAIL only insist on CALLING you at all hours of the day...
DIALAPHONE is the WORST COMPANY and I've learnt my lesson... I will be sticking with Carphone Warehouse in the future as DAP are RUDE, PATRONISING, LESS THAN CANDID and once you agree to a contract, they don't care whether you get bad or worse service as long as they get their money.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, ITS NOT WORTH THE STRESS!

I would actually give a 0 Star Rating
I ordered an upgrade on the 13th of January, I was never advised that there wasn't any stock of the phone that I wanted.
I received an email acknowledging my order with a delivery date of the 7th February.
I queried this and Dialaphone was unsure why this date had been selected and tried to say that I must have chosen it.
Finally, when the date arrived, no phone was delivered, checked my status and they then advised that they hadn't carried out the upgrade check (which I was told was done at the point of sale).
2 days later it was supposedly sorted and passed.
For the next 2 weeks the delivery date has been changed on several occasions as they still have no stock (how a company operates if they have no idea when they are getting stock is beyond me).
Today they have confirmed they have no idea when they will ever get any stock, and are unwilling to provide an alternative handset with the deal I was sold.
So, the order has now been cancelled. What a joke of a company - Avoid at all costs.

is this company some king of a joke ??? I placed an order on december 10th for two voda 36# a month each, with the Nokia Lumia. On 13th Dec. i received the package. One of the sim cards was already activated while the second not even after 3 days. In the meantime, the 14th I called Dial a phone and told them that my sim is not yet activated and they said i need to call voda. So i did, and to my surprise, they dont even have the second phone number, they dont even know anything about the SIM card number, they only have ONE contract/phone number in my name and of course they pass me back to dialaphone to see what was happening. I called them back, they said that it is voda's fault and that the sim should be active by the next day (17th). By this time as i am going in circles, I have in my hands TWO written voda contracts and only ONE registered contract (as confirmed by the direct debit on the paydate - 27th Dec.) Now I receive a letter from DaP to return the Nokia to them, a scam-like letter, with no phone number, no name, no address nothing, even more - the person cannot write! In this letter/package was a back which had a return postage on it, somewhere FAAAAAAAR away from the location of DaP, as i googl-ed the postcode. Now two days ago I received a second letter stating that if i don't return the phone within the next 7 days my SECOND un-active contract will be terminated and I will have to pay the remaining charges to voda. This is illogical, and whoever wrote this stupid letter needs to disappear. Nonetheless, it states NOWHERE that I will have my money refunded for the phone. Either this is some sort of scam, or DaP needs to get sued due to imbeciles working within. Can someone please guide me to what i have to do. By the way, I got a VODA pre-pay sim card, so I am still LOYAL to the company..........

DIALAPHONE ARE ACE.
I have been purchasing handsets with Dialaphone since 2005 and NEVER had a problem. Customer service have always been helpful if needed.
Cashback has never been a problem, and neither has the insurance or Gadget Helpline. It is quite clear these are a condition of purchase, and are really simple to cancel if not required.
I will always return to Dialaphone as they have never let me down :)

I tried to order an iPhone 4S through dialaphone on Orange as a present for my partner at Christmas. I was declined and "due to the data protection act" they were unable to tell me why. It was the best deal I could find online. I am now receiving annoying calls from an 0845 number at least 5 times a day which I ignore. A Google search of the number reveals that it is from Phones4u, surprise surprise the parent company of Dialaphone. If I were at all cynical I would be thinking that Phones4u were going to try to sell me a phone contract having collected all my details from their website. I have since taken an Orange contract out and know there are no issues with my credit rating.
Avoid!

Ok so i've just read down this whole list of complaints and i just want to point a few things out...
There will always be people who have issues with companies... it just happens sometimes.
Allot of people on here are complaining about VODAFONE customer service after they have bought a phone from DIAL-A-PHONE. They are different companies,
If you want my advice Dial-a-Phone are a great company with incredible prices, just don't get a Vodafone contract through them because there seems to be issues between the two.
Hopefully this has helped.

Terrible service - do not buy.
Was advised handset for my upgrade was in stock and would be on 48 hour delivery, then received email saying it was delayed due to a stock issue. I called the sales line who advised me they had 60 handsets in stock, but then was transferred to customer services who said they had none and I would have to wait. Apparently I can't cancel because they have applied for upgrade already, even though my network provider insists they haven't - don't know where I stand with this legally??
I have now been waiting over a week and it has been delayed every day. Managed to speak to someone today who advised it was GUARANTEED that it would be posted today for delivery tomorrow - surprise surprise - just received an email delaying it another day....

I didn't have a problem with Dial-A-Phone either. Ordered a Nokia almost 2 years ago, came when they said it was coming, along with my free PS3. The boyfriend was very pleased with his birthday present that year!!

They wanted me to send a copy of identity and bank statement to them. Come on,who would do that to a phone company with so much personal information inside. Such a time waster. Not pleased to do bussiness with them.

Horrible company
Initially bought a phone and wanted it delivered to my work, I was told next day delivery two days had gone by and nothing checked my account on the website to be told I had to phone them as there was a problem with the order.... I had to phone them on a 0870 number eh Dial a phone get it together you should phone me if there is a problem.
The problem was they could not find my works address on Thomson Local even though I found it. BS excuse if you ask me. So I asked for it to be delivered to my home and nothing after a week every night at 7.30 it gets delayed by a day.
So I phone them and ask the problem to be told its a stock issue. DONT BUY FROM DIAL A PHONE HORRIBLE DISGUSTING AND PATHETIC

Absolutely shockingly poor service. I made an order on 27th November for a phone, and received confirmation. I selected the delivery for 29th November. The phone did not arrive. After checking the website it now stated delivery as the 30th. On the 30th the phone did not arrive. On the website it now stated delivery as 31st. This went on for several days.
You try and phone them and there does not seem to be an option to speak to a person. After emailing them two days later I get an email stating they can't verify my delivery address and I need to provide proof - which I did. The email address they supplied did not work and the email bounced back. I tried sending it to the original email address but heard nothing.
Today when I logged on it states that the order has been cancelled as I have not contacted them and they provided an 0800 number to contact sales. When I phoned sales they said that they can't deal with PAYG and put me through to head office, who said that I'd need to reorder it.
I think I'll go to a reputable retailer instead.

Ordered on Sunday the 9th. Order was processed on the monday with confirmation of delivery for Tuesday. Got regular updates through the My Account section as to progress of the order (details like credit check being done etc prior to them getting the contract written up and product shipped)
Handset arrived as promised on the Tuesday with the relevant paper work. Did come with the free 1 month insurance and 1 month gadget helpline but these were the easiest things in the world to cancel - couple of mins each.
Thumbs up to Dial a Phone who managed to provide with a top of the range handset at minimal costs - beat the highstreet deals by a good £100 and not encountered any problems along the way

Never buy from dial-a-phone as they do not let you know if they have the fone in stock or not. They will send you an email telling you the fone will arive in 2 working days and it is complete and utter lies. When you ring them up they tell you its not in stock and dont know when it is so if i hadnt of rang up i would of been waiting weeks later for the fone to arrive. The service is shocking and the comapany needs shutting down. They are selling fresh air. DO NOT EVER USE DIAL-A-PHONE. Only if you want to wait week after week for it!

Utterly appalling, I would advise to avoid.
I ordered a blackberry on vodafone, which after a few days delay was delivered to my office at 9am,
along with the usual contract with vodafone. Fine.
Until, that is, I got a message to call Dial-a-phone, which given their Kafkaesque menu system that seems to discourage you form speaking to a real person was very difficult. When I eventually managed to speak to someone I was told that Vodafone had subsequently declined my order (despite producing an airtime agreement with an authorisation code on it!) and asking me to send the handset back to them.
I keep emailing Vodafone customer services but keep getting one line emails back not dealing with any of the points I have raised.
please take this as feedback: abysmal.

Crooks. My order was placed on August 23rd for a Sept 9th delivery as a birthday present. I routinely checked the status this morning to find out that the order has just been cancelled. I only get a message "Due to data protection, we are unable to provide specific information for the cancellation, however, generally, reasons include failing to meet the network providers criteria, credit status, lack of funds". This is a basic "go away" automated trick. My Credit Rating is excellent I have just checked it. Interestingly, the original deal is no longer available.
If dialaphone is willing to let me know why the order was cancelled I will happily update my review.

I ordered my phone from these folks, despite some of the bad reviews I'd read...
They kept me well informed about how my order was progressing and emailed me a delivery tracking number.
Having asked me what day I wanted delivery, they then tried to deliver on the next day regardless. This turned out to be a benefit for me because I'm not far from the PO depot and could pop in on the way home from work to collect it, but it might be an issue for some.
The phone did come with their gadget helpline and insurance, but you can cancel the gadget helpline through the website, and it was a 2 or 3 minute call to cancel the insurance.
Overall, I've knocked off a star because they sent the phone out for immediate delivery and because there is no opt-out for the helpline/insurance. But it was a positive experience and a great deal!

Got a sumsung from Dialaphone just over a year ago. Phone arrived on time and connection to a new number was ready. Ported my old O2 mobile number and just let dialaphone know on their website. Since then I have had 3 x £60 redemptions with another due this month. They e-mail me when they have received my 'redemption' phone bill and they e-mail when they send me the £60 cheque. Would I use Dialaphone again? You betcha. Average phone bill £23 a month. With £60 redemption every three months I end up paying £3 a month for my mobile - what a great deal!

well i recomend nobody to order from dial a phone because they are pathetic! I ordered a phone about 5 days ago and they keep on putting the date back, and yet i still havent got my phone! NEVER ORDER FROM DIAL A PHONE.

Awful. I tried to cancel within 2 days of ordering phone (11th May) and its the 5th July and I still haven't had it cancelled. I am being charged for a phone that I sent back and didn't even get out of the box (I got a better offer) and they apparently have a 7 day cancellation policy.
Only order if you are 100% sure you won't change your mind as this headache of a company won't offer you support and I'm £90 down 3 months later, after cancelling within 2 days of my order.
I have put in a complaint with Consumer Direct.

Received an e-mail stating problem setting up my order. I rang them and after 40 mins and many departments later they said that I had to pay a £100 deposit because i'd never had a contract phone before. I stated I had an excellent credit rating and wasn't prepared to pay the £100, they then transferred me to yet another dept to cancel the order. After another 15 mins of waiting I got cut off. Complete pile of rubish, why does the webside not make any mention of deposits!!!

This company is rubbish.
I ordered a phone from them and on the day (4 days later) that they said it would arrive I checked their website for tracking information and the order was instantly (at that very minute) cancelled. Tried to ring their customer service number and it continually referred me to the website, cancelled the phone call and failed to allow me through to a service advisor.
Five attempts later I called my bank and told them not to honour any attempt to access my funds. These people have received my bank details and then cancelled my oerder. And I have a PERFECT credit rating!
I went to T mobile and got better service instantly.

Very good prices so don't expect 5 stars.
Had reason to phone them 3 times over problems with an HTC Desire and Blackberry Bold. They were polite and helpful. They made some sloppy mistakes e.g. the SIMM cards were reversed as phones ordered at the same time. Also said order couldn't be processed as I'd ordered 2 phone from O2 in one 3 month period - but they were both activated by O2.
So don't expect a wondeful service but I would say very good value for money.

Dialaphone is the worst company ever! I ordered the blackberry torch and when it arrived I realised it was faulty. So I rang them up and they gave me an exchange. The exchanged phone had the same fault. So I rang them again and they again said return your phone to us as we will give you another exchange. I waited for a week for my new phone to arrive. Later I rang them up and they said we have not received your phone and told me to prove a copy of the proof of purchase receipt. When I did they rang and said 'we have dispatched your phone and you will receive it within 3-5 working days'. It has now been FOUR WEEKS and I still have NO HANDSET!!!! This is pathetic and so damn frustrating!!!! I advice everyone NOT TO BUY A PHONE FROM DIALAPHONE!!!!

If negative star raings were an option, I'd be using it.
Having had previous bad experiences with Dialaphone, I took my chances for a good deal. What a mistake!
I ordered my HTC Desire HD on Vodafone, which arrived a day late. I then had the handset for 2 days, before I recieved a letter with 3 Mobile logo, saying that the enclosed envelope was for the return of my phone following their contact with me. After all afternoon on to Dialaphone and Vodafone 0870 numbers I was told that if I did not return my handset, I would be charged for it (around £400) as Vodafone had not connected my line. When I said that I had purchased accessories which I could not return I was told - "we did not advise you to do that". When I asked Dialaphone to contact Vodafone to try to get the problem sorted, as Vodafone had requested, they refused saying it was pointless.
Dialaphone are awful.

Good points &Bad points - I got my new mobile 5 days ago and still the sim is not working. Told today it will be put before a Manager for "prompt action" - same as I was told 48 hours ago. Now on the third set of "48 hours"! The tariff is apparently not the same as the one that I ordered. It is now 500 texts and not unlimited. However, I did agree that I would still accept that as they have offered £60 cashback to my credit card. I was told that I can take out a £5 bolt on for mobile network direct with O2, which isn't included in the tariff I chose.
I have an O2 simplicity sim so am still using that in my new free smartphone so I am not that inconvenienced. I could not get this mobile direct from O2 and it would cost over £398 to buy. The monthly contract is just over £20 including VAT without the bolt on. Its better to start on the cheapest tariff you can manage as you can always go upwards in price but never down. As long as the sim does get activated I hope everything will progress well from there - fingers crossed!
The thing to WATCH OUT for is the insurance contract and gadget help contract which is given free for 1 month - if you don't CANCEL you will be paying monthly for these!
To speak to someone on Customer Services you have to choose the option of faulty handset every time - otherwise automated messages - not customer service! They told me to do that themselves.
I have been put through to Head Office each time and given a reference number. No one has been rude to me yet.

Never ever buy from this company. I had a phone from them following a cold call. They said that I would get £10 per month discount. It turned out that I would have to pay the money up front and claim the discount back after a year! They also asked for bank details to confirm who I was and took £10 from my account without agreement before I had even recieved my phone. The contract appeared to be completely different to what I was told on the phone and when my phone arrived, paperwork said that by opening the package I was agreeing to the contract alhtough the contract was inside the box! I rang them and spent hours on the phone getting hold of someone and told them that they could come and pick up the phone as I didn't want it. They were incredibly rude and shouted at me continuously insisting that I sent the phone back to them and claimed the cost back. I cannot believe that they thought that I'd fall for this. I said that the phone would be avaliable to collect at any time. The next thing, a debt collector turned up at the door claim that I owed 3 months payment of the contract which I had never agreed. The debt collection agency kept on at me for 3 months before they gave up.
However, I got the last laugh as after 6 months when they still had not collected the phone, I opened the box, bought a pay as you go SIM card and used the phone. NEVER EVER use this company.

2 months later I still have no phone as it seems every phone they offer me is out of stock. I have wasted over £30 to speak to their rude, incompetent staff who are obviously lying as I'm told a different story every time. Now they won't cancel my contract.
Anyone having problems speaking to a real person, call 0844 481 5866 and Press option 1 several times til it rings.
Anyone considering using Dialaphone....Do not do it it will be easier to use pigeon carriers to communicate with your friends and family. Disguting. Rude. Imcompetent and law breaking! To name a few.

Dial a phone do some good deals that are not available directly with the networks. Unfortunately, they do not give out the correct information. I was told I could get a web bolt on via 02, my current network supplier, for £5.00 per month, when infact, the tariff Dial a Phone had set me up with, was £10.00 a month. I know its only a matter of £5.00 a month over 18 months, but it makes a good deal, not so good, and made me question my decision to use them. Admittedly, I still got the phone free, which on the tariff I am on, would of cost me £149.00 if it had been via 02. But still, I was misadvised and their error is costing me £90.00 extra over a 18 month period and they should be held accountable. And yes, phone was delayed by 2 days, but it is an excellent phone. So, I have still made a good saving regardless.

after reading all the bad reviews after me placing my order with dial-a-phone i was a bit worried... and the fact they kept sending me messages sayin my phone would be with me day after day i started to get annoyed. But once i phoned today to cancel my order the person i spoke too said they hadnt had the handset i wanted in stock and it would be another week and that i couldnt cancel untill my order had been delivered. so i was quite p*ssed off. But after sittin home for a few hours hey presto handset and 32 inch tv came. i think there customer services team need a bit more info on there orders and there products but apart from that im all chuffs with my new order !!!

Like the previous poster .. I got an upgrade through Dial a phone (last phone was through them) .. I have received my new iPhone which I love but the upgraded sim has not yet been activated 8 days later.
After several phone calls and being told "wait 48hrs" I received a call from a Manager today who advised that Orange have run a second credit check and been declined.
They now want the phone back .. Does anyone know what will happen if I don't give it back to them??
There stuff up as far as I am concerned .. Given they too processed a Credit Check and it was fine??
Also bearing in mind the only "Credit" I have applied for is with them last time and always paid my bills with Orange!
Any advice from people who have had a similar issue would be appreciated.
Cheers

In a word - NO!
I had been a customer of o2 for about 5 years and always valued their customer service etc. However, when it came to the point where I needed a new laptop and couldn't afford one, I looked into different options with regards to changing my phone contract and getting a free one.
Dialaphone had the best offers and were completely unbeatable so naturally I went with them. When it came to contacting the sale dept about buying they were more than helpful and within a couple of days I had bought and taken delivery of a Blackberry on an o2 contract with a free laptop.
BUT.... it took 5 days from delivery for the phone to be connected to o2, so I had a phone that I couldn't use, and my other contract had run out.
Thats not all.... A web bolt-on that I had requested wasn't included in my contract and while trying to contact Dialaphone to sort this out I discovered that there is no telephone number to call where you can actually speak to someone. I had to go via email. 2 weeks later - STILL not sorted despite my threatening to cancel the contract if not sorted asap!. So I called o2 and they fixed the problem in less that 24 hours.
Furthermore... Dialaphone didnt explain on their website or through their robot on the phone that my contract wasn't compatible with my phone. The Blackberry bolt on needed to use some of the phones features was not included, nor was it available. The o2 guy I spoke to added the bolt on for me despite it being unavailable through Dialaphone.
My verdict - just dont bother if you value customer service. I've had nothing but trouble with this company and not even had the phone a month!
This company is incompetent, slow and a complete waste of time.
Dont be drawn in by their offers of free laptops, cashback and attractive benefits because it really REALLY is not worth the hassle. Cut out the middle man and just go direct. Once my contract has run out I'll be running a mile from this company and certainly will not be recommending to a friend!

Ordered mobile online in Feb 2010. After confirmation email and 4 x "it'll will come - sorry for the delay" emails, it was cancelled by the mobile joker because of some cock-n-bull story. It was a good deal which the scamster could not turned the trick and EOE was pulled from the parachute print whereby the excuse cancellation email blamed on, "Technical fault". Could have pursued it but what the heck. Live and let live, eh?
As if some pain was not enough, went direct through their telephone sales the second time and bought a different mobile deal and now, it's on the same, "it'll will come - sorry for the delay", email nonsense. Called their CS to confirm that the joker is not out of the pack [yet] and was promised it was not. Funny thing is, on both the confirmation and acceptance emails for the first and second orders, the cashbacks were never mentioned. This joker looks like a seasoned, cautious, cunning conniving and very predatory animal. Beware - with this seemingly klutzy, night can be turned into day and anything can go anywhere. What the hell is wrong with these type of people, eh? Are others borned to be shafted by them because they are gifted with some big tool? Damn juveniles after having discovered the secret of fire.

If there was a 0 star rating, it would be too good for these rippers.
Double check every detail then check again, especially the network providers tariff compared to the b*******t Dialalie give you!
Cost me an extra £15 per month on the deal I 'agreed' with them so be warned - and I'm no sucker!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY EVER
i bought a sony erricson c905 on contract with t mobile in march last year i had 2 faults on it so i took it to carphione warehouse for repair i was told it could not be booked in as it was showing as already booked in for repair 3 weeks before i purchased it i was told to go directly to sony as it was under manufaturer guarentee. so i sent it off to then they then told me after 3 weeks they wouldnt repair it as it had already been repaired which resulted in damage making my warrenty void this i found very strange so contacted dialaphone where they eventually admitted having sold me a reconditioned phone NOT as stated a new one . they agreed to replace my phone with a new one ? but after i sent back my old one wich i have had to pay sony to return to me this has taken 2 month in tottal and i have had to use a pay as u go phone in the mean time so 2 month line rental , petrol, phone calls sending my phone back and falward and other expenses all adds up in total i have lost around 150 puond and dialaphone have kindly offered to cover £26 of this cost.

Never again. worst nightmare ever. went through hell just to buy a handset. Had to spend 15£ in calls just to get the phone delivered to me.
It all begun with a simple order over internet for a ERICKSON C510 pay as u go supposed to be 30£ cheaper then other companies. On the supposed delivery date instead of phone i got an email saying that the delivery was postponed 3 days due to technical probs. 3 days later still not phone, got instead another email saying my order was cancelled. After spending at least 1 hour trying to get to speak with someone i was told that my credit card had been declined coz i had given a wrong exp date. (keep in mind that according to my bank the transaction went through perfectly fine and on the same day i did it), i was asked to confirm my CC details once more so they would rectify the problems. So.... i submitted the cc again and i was told that my order was processed and would be delivered in 3 days.
during those 3 days they probably sent me another 5 emails all saying different things which in order to clarify them i had to spend hours on the phone with them. when the day of delivery came, guess what ...no phone. so once more i called them and asked for a valid reason, they apologised again and told me they would investigate and call me back. Guess what...they did not call me back so ...next day another hour on the phone trying to find out why my delivey did not arrive. Cutting the story short the phone was delivered 4 days later and the blame was passed on to DHL. The funny bit is that a month later when i got my CC statement i was charged twice for the same phone and up until today i am still disputing this trying to get a refund of my money. In my opinion they are the worst company you can possible do business with and i regret to this day having made the decision to buy from them just to safe few pounds when it turned out that i spent more in phone calls and time then anything else. 00000000 STARS

I must admit, I was slightly worried about taking out a contract with dialaphone after reading so many bad reviews. I mentioned this when I ordered the phone and was told that recently they had changed procedures so there would no longer be the problems that there had been. The phone a Sony Ericsson W995 arrived on time with no problems. After a couple of months of using it, it developed a software problem. I rang Dialaphone customer services, my call was answered immediately by a very helpful human, all the details were taken and a couple of days later an envelope arrived for me to post the phone back to them. I was emailed and given a tracking number. Less than 2 weeks later, the phone was fixed and delivered back to me by courier. I found Dialaphone extremely prompt and helpful and would recommend them to anyone.

RUBBISH customer services. Had a phone with them since Jan 09, phone's been back for repair 4 times for the same problem and once for another. After the 5th time they agreed to send out a NEW phone, 2 weeks later no phone. Phoned sales line (cos you don't get to speak to a human through customer services)and was told they only have to send out a refurbished phone and they had no idea why I'd not recieved my replacement yet. Would highly recommend getting a phone from somewhere else.

bought a samsung tocco lite from dial a phone, got a great deal which included 8 gb memory card,
only problem no memory card.
the automated customer services is a joke, if you email them you get no response, i can honestly say i shall not and will not buy anything from them again, because my complaint is quite minor, i can only imagine what fun you would have if you had to return anything....
alot of people complain about Deli customer services, but its far superior than the female terminator voice which takes you round and round in circles

It's a shame there isn't an option to leave a review with no stars, as this is what I'd give them!
I entered into an 18 month contract with dial-a-phone in 2005, with cashback on my line-rental at months 3,6 and 12. This is what tempted me into the deal in the first place. Cash-back at month 3 was no problem, cash back at months 6 and 12 did not happen. This was despite faxes, phone calls and emails. I even wrote to them sending my letter recorded delivery but was still told by the inept customer service rep that the letter hadn't arrived! No?! Well someone signed for it! Dial-a-phone renegged on the deal I entered into with them and despite rather extreme efforts on my part to contact them I discovered communication with them literally impossible. Phoning their automated hotline is an experience I can only describe as painful. The frustation of calling a premium rate helpline, navigating your way around electronic menus for half an hour before the system hangs up on you is unbelievable. The option to speak to a human being wasn't included I might add. I would say the customer service is appaling but to say it is non-existent would be more accurate.
Under no circumstances whatsoever would I recommend anyone to dial-a-phone because although you may get a free gift initially, god help you if you encounter problems furthe on down the line!

Dial-a-phone have great free gift deals, that what attracted me to them because I want to get a free laptop. Unfortunately dialaphone sent me the wrong mobile phone 3 times, on the fourth attempt dialaphone managed to get me the correct phone. My free laptop was meant to arrive 28 days later, it didn’t. I phoned dialaphone only to get the most annoying automated line, eventually I got to speak to a dialaphone rep and they did sort out my problems, my free laptop arrived from dialaphone the next day. So, dial a phone customer service is c**p but in dialaphone’s defense, they did eventually get their act together and sent me my free laptop. Im undecided on dialaphone, I will see how dial a phone perform over the next few months.

Was a little concerned at first about buying from dialaphone, I was leaving vodaphone and they were telling me dialaphone were rubbish and wouldn’t receive my free laptop. Well how wrong were vodaphone. I got a contract from dialaphone, my phone arrived the next day and about 4 weeks later dialaphone sent me my free laptop. Im really pleased with the service from dialaphone, the only thing to come out of this is now I have lost respect for vodaphone, think it’s a bad way to do business by slagging off your competitors like dialaphone. I would highly recommend dialaphone if you want to take advantage of a free gift like a laptop.

Ordered a phone from www.dialaphone.co.uk, was meant to arrive in the next couple of days and didn’t. So I phone dialaphones premium rate phone number which I wasn’t impressed about, after 10 minutes of going through dialaphones automated phone service I finally got to speak to someone. The dialapohne customer service person said they were waiting for t-mobile to pass the credit checks. All went quiet for a couple of days and I heard nothing from dialaphone. So, I phoned dialaphone again and I get the same answer as before, that they were waiting for tmobile to pass the credit check! By now I was totally cheesed off with dailaphone, so I phone tmobile and they tell me the credit check had been passed several days ago. Once again, I was back on the phone to dialaphone, I informed them that the credit check had been passed by tmobile but the dialaphone customer rep wasn’t interested. I would never just dialaphone again. Remember dialaphone are part of phones4u so they could be the same.

I have had excellent dealings with dialaphone. My new nokia phone arrived on the next day after ordering it, 28 days later dailaphone sent me my free xbox. All was complete and it all work. I always use dailaphone because they offer better free gifts and deals than going direct to the network, I highly recommend daillaphone.

I brought a Nokia N96 mobile phone from dailaphone on a 18 month contract, the phone was totally free and arrive the next day, so I was well happy. After 3 weeks of me hammering the phone, well I did buy it to use it started to get very hot which concerned me a little. I tried to phone dailaphone but got an automated system, still it did the job. Dailaphone sent out a bag and I returned the phone, bit annoyed that dialaphone don’t pay the postage for this.
Once the phone had been received by dialaphones repair center they told me that it was damaged I had caused and dialaphone would not fix it without me paying 75 quid. So now I am left with a nokia n96 which I brought from dialaphone that does not work. I also had to pay 10 pounds to have the faulty phone returned to me! I will not be buying another mobile phone from dailaphone, this is the third handset I have had frojm dailaphone and it will be the last.

My 12 month t-mobile contract which I got through the dialaphone website is finishing soon. I have had no problems with dialaphone, my phone arrived the next day and the free gift shortly after, plus all my cashback was paid, you can view all the details of cashback through the ‘my account’ part on the dialaphone website. After reading mixed reviews about dial-a-phone I was unsure weather to buy from dial-a-phone, but I have to admit I had no problems and would recommend dial-a-phone. The mobile phone deals dialaphone are offering are really good and you can get a free laptop.

I brought a new mobile phone from daialaphone about 6 months ago. The deal offered 120 quid cashback, sounded good to me so I went for it. Unfortunately I didn't read the small print and the cashback was on a redemption scheme where I had to send a claim form to dialaphone. Because of this I missed the first payment of 30 pounds as I get 30 pounds back from dialaphone every 3 months. I did get my 6 months payment though after sending in the form to dialaphone. Partly my fault but if i had known I wouldn't of brought this type of deal from dialaphone, would prefer automatic cashback. I will still use dialaphone as its not really there fault, i should of read the paperwork. All the other mobile phone shops do the same type of deals too so beware.

With the credit crunch definitely here and my son wanting a new laptop for christmas I decided to get a new mobile phone where you receive a free laptop. Dial a phone have an offer where you get a Free Fujitsu Siemens laptop with SE T303.
This deal suits me prefect as I get unlimited texts so all in all I cannot complain.
The only thorn in my side is a 24 month contract but I suppose you don't really ever get something for nothing, and with credit being so hard to come by on the high street this is just the job. I have received my phone from dial a phone and my free laptop comes in a couple of weeks. i would of rated dial a phone 5 stars but I am going to wait till my laptop arrives, Im sure there won't be any problems though.
