First up...Get your phone the next day as advertised?...It took well over a week to arrive!
Now I really don't have the time to sit and write this review, but this company's customer service is so poor with regard to response and also in my opinion they are trying to avoid paying out on the 'half price line rental/cashback' deal that THEY offered as PART OF THE DEAL to reel me in to their website shopee.
The Process:
You do everything correctly with regard to sending them the bill as required, but no cheque arrives...You email regarding the 'none arrival' of the cheque and get an email response stating that your email will be answered within 48 WORKING hours (this now say's 6 working days!).
Eventually someone responds and asks for 'more information' even though they had already received all that they could possibly need in the first mail.
Next up...'We already sent you a cheque last month and it will take up to 35 days to issue another one'.
Then...'We have sent another cheque out today' (this was the end of December and no cheque has arrived, so I email again this week and the response is once again 'your email will be answered within 6 working days'.
Are they hoping that I will simply get fed up and go away?
So, even if I do get my first cheque, it looks as if it could arrive some 3 months late and low and behold...It is now time now to send in my second bill for my second cheque....Now hear this...I am going to do exactly that!!
There surley must be something that Trading Standards can do about this sort of practice and when I have finished placing this review, I am going to start the ball rolling with regard to legal action.
STAY WELL CLEAR UNLESS YOU HAVE: (a) - THE TIME, ENERGY AND INCLINATION TO SPARE TO ENDLESSLY CHASE THEM ROUND AND ROUND WITH NO RESULT and (b) - THE FINANCIAL 'WHERE WITH ALL' TO WRITE OFF ANY MONEYS OWING TO YOU!

Ordered a Galaxy ace from them, seemed like a great deal. Next day I missed a call from them so tried to call back but got a voice saying the number was unobtainable. Got another number from their website and managed to get through. I was greeted by a message saying IF YOU ARE CALLING ABOUT A CASH BACK CHEQUE, DO NOT WORRY THEY WILL JUST BE DELAYED BY A FEW WEEKS. Well I wasn't calling about that but it did set alarm bells ringing. How many people WERE experiencing these delays that they felt it necessary to have such a message as a greeting??? Not really a good advert for your company!!!
I digress, I spoke to an agent who said they did not have the phone I ordered in stock, would I like to order a different phone? I said no and she said she would search for stock and call me back. She didn't!
Called next day (Same worrying greeting message) To be told they had some coming in, when? I asked, might be in the next couple of weeks was the less than impressive reply.
I thought about the overall performance of mobiles.co.uk, the non returned phone call, the unobtainable phone number, the greeting message about delayed cashback cheques, them continuing to sell the phone despite having no stock or knowing when they would have, the countless number of very negative reviews all over the internet and came to a decision.
It was a no brainer for me really. CANCEL and AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE was my decision.

Oh dear, I'd wish I'd read these reviews before I bought from mobiles.co.uk. Initial good impression as the phone is delivered very promptly. However after a couple of days it is apparent the handset is faulty - several of the keys on the physical keypad don't work and neither does the Bluetooth. There is no email address supplied on the website or in any of the paperwork or emails. The Customer Services phone line only operates on weekadays so I have to wait til this morning to ring them. I have tried three times so far and have been on hold for a total of 23 minutes without getting through to anyone. )0844 numbers cost a fortune from my landline so I'm using up my precious minutes on the phone itself. During one of my sessions on hold I found these reviews and have very rapidly decided that rather than get a replacement I want to return the phone and cancel the contract for a complete refund. I have a horrible feeling that 23 minutes on hold is going to be the least aggravating part of the experience.

DONT BUY FROM THEM

I RECENTLY ORDERED A PAYG REFURB FONE FRM THEM TO SEND ABROAD, AS THEY OFFERED NEXT DAY DELIVERY AND MY COUSIN WAS FLYING OUT AFTER 6 DAYS I THOUGHT OK.

THE NEXT DAY THEY EMAIL ME SAYING THE PHONE IS OUT OF STOCK EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE STILL SELLING THE PHONE ONLINE AS IN STOCK. AND IT WILL TAKE 7-10DAYS FOR MY PHONE TO ARRIVE, I THEN TOLD THEM TO CANCEL AND REFUND THIS

THEY CLAIM THEY HAVE ISSUED A REFUND ON THE 29TH DECEMBER AFTER ME PURCHASING ON THE 28TH

IT IS NOW THE 20TH OF JANUARY, WITH MULTIPLE EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS I STILL HAVE NO REFUND FOR A PHONE I DID NOT GET!!!

I WAS TOLD THEY HAVE ISSUED ME A CHEQUE THROUGH THE POST EVEN THOUGH I PAID BY CARD SO I REFUSED TO ACCEPT ANY CHEQUE BECAUSE I KNOW THEYRE LYING THERE WONT BE ANY CHEQUES.

NOW IVE BEEN TOLD I HAVE TO WAIT 2-3 WEEKS FOR THE SO CALLED "CHEQUE" NOT TO BE CASHED IN THEN I WILL BE GIVEN A BANK PAYMENT TO MY ORIGINAL CARD!!!

ABSOLOUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!

This company is everything everyone else has written about them and more. I just wish I had read the reviews before purchasing my phones. I SUGGEST BEFORE PURCHASING YOU TAKE HEED OF THE WARNINGS AS THEY ARE ALL INDICATIVE WITH THE WAY I WAS TREATED.

I purchased two Iphone 4s on 2nd December 2011 and they arrived by about the 9th December which was fine as they were both intended for Xmas presents for my kids. Both were wrapped and opened on Xmas day. To my horror I had purchased my son the 16G not realising that he currently has about 28G usuage on his Iphone 3.

As soon as the offices opened I rang and asked for the upgrade to 32G. They could not be less helpful. Despite clearly that both phones were Xmas presents the "You can only change in the 7 day period" kept being rammed down my throat.

I explained had I have known then I would have exchanged within the 7 days. All attempts to embarrass them into a moral obligation failed miserably, the rules are the rules.

I tried a different tact stating I would gladly pay the difference in their operating costs as to send the phone back would obviously cost them. They went to their trading department and stated that to send the phone back would cost them £133.00 and on top of this the tariff that I was presently on would cost an additional £239.00.

Accepting that this is the tariff is one thing BUT where do you get the figure £133 from!!!!

As stated purchase a phone from this company at your peril!!!!!!

Oh by the way I am told this company is afilliated to the Carphone Warehouse which surprises me as they are normally good.

1 Star as no star not available. On 15/12/2011 ordered a Orange contract (Panther 25 Extra), when checking through order details later discovered the details for contract on order not correct.

Contacted them and told that it wasn't the Panther 25 Extra contract but neither was it the details on their website luckily the contract they had actually set up was similar to what I wanted but managed to get them to switch it to the original contract ordered. Told will take a few days.

On 16/12/2011 as advertised handset arrives, happy. Details on website still old.

22/12/2011 phoned them to ensure this contract was set up correctly before use of phone, told hadn't been done as failed credit check.
Not very happy and told them didn't want the phone on the contract they gave arranged for courier to collect following day.

23/12/2011 - spent all day home waiting for courier who has not turned up. Phoned mobiles.co.uk having decided we'd keep the phone and contract they gave only to be told that the contract they have set up is NOT as previously said at all.

FUMING have agreed to pay courier costs myself to ensure they receive handset ASAP.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

They are awful Avoid At All Costs.

Bought a phone it's then out of stock according to the email I got but the website is still selling them

Then they say it's in stock and sent and it gets lost.

Then they avoid Talking to me, I finally talk to someone and they supposedly sort it. But they don't ad although promised two days later my parcel isn't here turns out they we're not in stock again.

Finally I get someone who helps I get my phone next day  very helpful called to update me and tells me to contact them after my delivery to arrange refund for calls and so i call them to discuss the promised refund for all the calls I have made. And they tell me they need proof of the calls sent to them even tho they have a record of them and apparently I was never told I could have a new refund as no record on there system. so it's not even guaranteed.

So I have paid £60 for a £25 item with all call costs min u call they fob u off ppl
are always busy AVOID



Xmas is ruined for me

Ordered a phone in time for my son's birthday. When it didnt turn up we contacted www.mobile.co.uk and they said they didnt have any in stock, didnt know when they would have any and to call back in a weeks time.

The phone was still being advertised on their website. They are happy to take your money but can't fulfil order.

Tried to cancel the order but the supplied email address doesnt exist....

Avoid at all costs

Absolute stonking deal on iphone 4s and next day delivery. (Yodel did muck the delivery up but the courier himself sorted it out)
They never called back when they said they would be I prefer to call them anyway. Guaranteed to get things done.
It seems the main issues are with cash back. These guys were good with my upgrade.

I bought from them a contract on O2 and they promised to give me money back evrey so ofte. But after the first clame which was all in order and perfect, they stopped answering my emails and they claim not receiving any of my sent bills aither by post or by email. I also refered a lot of people to them through my personal linkg given to me by them but they never sent the promised £25 check for each person to me as they promised. They are thieves!!! Dredful!

Mobiles.co.uk are happy enough to take your money but delivery of product is late - a week instead of next day, customer services are useless &refund duration is diabolical.
Company are unable to port across your mobile number despite requesting the PAC code &typing it in with all my other personal info - TalkMobile (who the phone contract was with) says they have received many complaints from customers who have tried to port their old mobile numbers to new contract when buying through mobiles.co.uk.

Atrocious customer service - do not reply to emails, staff do not log agreements on your records meaning endless days of trying to get staff at mobiles.co.uk to find out what was originally agreed. Managers "not available" when you call up to resolve problems. An alleged 72hrs for them to listen to my conversation with their customer services personnel &ring me back (bearing in mind I emailed them over a week ago with no reply, amusing how they reply twice within 2 days when your query is about BUYING from them.
Took 2 days to take money from me but 14-28days to wait for them to POST a cheque to refund you. They did offer 2weeks free line rental if I brought out a new contract with them but after no contact from customer services, an agent ?lying to me about a refund on first bill (as I have not been able to use phone and am still being billed from my old network because they did not port my number to new contract) I am wondering - is it worth it or should I just take the financial hit &go with a more expensive but CAPABLE company?! Did I mention all the accessories I brought for a mobile I no longer have :(

Diabolical waste of time company DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF! I read the reviews which all complained about customer service &thought I'd get away with simply buying my mobile (good cost, mobile &contract duration) &not needing to get involved with customer services but I WAS WRONG!!! Mobiles.co.uk staff are inept &their uselessness means you will inevitably have a problem which results in you needing to call their customer services, wasting you both time &money. You may possibly escape the tribulations if yours is a straight forward mobile sale but I wouldn’t trust them for refunds &cashback offers, porting numbers or any actual help from customer services.

Still waiting for them to get back to me &refund me - Will update when all probs resolved.

Cannot fault them they've been great!

I got a deal for my samsung tocco lite that after cashback was about £6 pounds a month for unlimited texts and 300 minutes!

They paid every cashback claim I made. It only takes about 2 minutes to apply for the claim online and every cheque arrived (t took a few weeks for each cheque) Once I sent in the wrong bill and they let me know within an hour and so I sent in the right one and problem solved!

So i would definately recomed! If you get cashback as long as you remember to send in your bill your fine! :)

Worst company ever.

they will overcharge you and will not pay back

I have no idea how this company is still operating.

The call staff are rude and lie to you
(that is if you even get through to anybody)

you have no idea, its been hell trying to sort this bloddy mess out and has caused much stress

If this stops just one person going through what I have then it was worth writing

Dont buy a phone on cashback with Mobiles.co.uk, they are reluctant to pay you.

They tell you it can take 28 days to receive cheque which doesn't arrive and then it takes another 28 days to send you replacement cheque.

I was due 6 cheques during the phones contract, one arrived within 28 days one is still outstanding after after 38 days a new one is due to be issued and 4 cheques were late and took up to 9 months to receive it.

My wife has a phone which came with a cashback offer and no problems so far with e2save, you get the cashback cheque.Both companies are owned by Carphone Warehouse but there is a world of difference in service.

I ordered a HTC Wildfire S last Monday and received it on the Thursday, it was working fine until a few days later I was having problems with the touch screen it was slow and wasn't working properly.
so I rang Mobiles up this Monday to return it they said that would be ok, and would send DHL to pick the phone up to return to the warehouse.
DHL did not come.
we rang Mobiles up on the Wednesday around 5 and they said DHL would pick it up in an hour, but they didn't come.
So we were out on the Thursday, and DHL came as we were out and left a note through the door saying we tried to deliver, but we had no notice whatsoever.
so we rang mobiles up and they said that the pick up was booked for Thursday even though they said it was booked for Wednesday, and then they said would arrange someone to pick it next Monday, so we decided to cancel the order.
they said they would be able to pick it up TODAY even though when returning the item they said we would have to wait till Monday.
We are waiting for DHL to come today, I wont be surprised if they don't turn up or mobiles have another problem with the order.

Avoid as there Customer service is terrible, long response times and false information given.

I am just going to be going to the carphone warehouse and paying the £50 upfront!

Appalling service from this company. I wish I'd read the reviews first! Don't order from them unless you don't mind waiting for weeks (or perhaps forever!) for your phone.
I ordered a phone on 21 April. Phoned Customer Services 26 April to find out why it hadn't arrived - they said the delivery van had broken down! Promised to deal with it. By 4 May still no phone, and no explanation. CS promised once again to 'look into it'. On 6 May I was told I'd have to wait three more days (i.e until at least 12 May because 6 May is a Friday)while the delivery firm searched the warehouse to check if the phone was around!  Then presumably, if it was lost, we'd start all over again! NO THANKS.

avoid them!! I wish i had seen this site before i had ordered my phone....no problems up until i tried to claim my cash back. First of i sent the wrong bill, my fault fair enough...then i sent the correct bill followed by an email the following week saying i hadnt sent the page with tariff information on so called up customer service, eventually got through, bloke was helpful and told me to said page 1-4 of my bill which i did and he gave me a 1 week entension on my 60 day limit. Today i received a  very similar email saying i hadnt sent page with tariff information on and now 60 day limit is over i cant claim it!

Very very annoyed as im skint as it is and only took the phone thinking i would bee getting some of the money back :o( gutted

Avoid.
I bought a  phone online, the card authorisation was fine and I received an  order acknowledgement. During this process I gave them my work, home and mobile number and my dob. They then cancelled my order without explanation and by email. Emailed them back and no response. Called them back and phone number disconnects. Checked with my credit card company and they never attempted to charge my card. Checked my details on their website and they are correct.
They're not acting in good faith.

This is the message I have just sent to mobiles.co.uk. I am FURIOUS!!!

I just spoke with your call centre employee  __________________. She said she was unable to put me through to a supervisor because they were "too busy".

I am furious right now. I have spoken to at least 5 of your employees today.

I picked up my new mobile at DHL last night and attempted to install my new SIM card, which was not recognised. When I rang your customer service this morning the woman said "Ah, yes. We sent you one of the "3" SIM cards that doesn't work". She then explained that this contract would be cancelled, and that someone would come pick up my phone on Tuesday next week. She then put me through to the sales team and said that I would need to do an entirely new order, for a new phone, and that I would not be able to just have a replacement SIM card.

When I spoke to the man in sales and told him I was not comfortable giving my card details over the phone, he told me I could apply for the new phone on your web site. I did this at about 11.30 this morning.

I was very upset to receive an email a short while ago say ing that my credit check had been declined and that I would not be able to apply for a new phone for 30 days. I rang your customer service again where I spoke to two different people, who both told me different things, until I was put through to ___________. She told me that my credit check was refused because I already have a "3" contract through the defective SIM card and that I now must wait 30 days to reapply. She said this is a "3" rule and that even if I go into a shop I will be declined a contract for 30 days.

I want someone at mobiles.co.uk to straighten out this situation, as it is a problem that has originated with you and the defective SIM card you sent me and has nothing to do with my credit.

I am furious- my current contract expires on Tuesday, my PAC code will be expiring as well and I find myself without a new phone, without a new tarrif and now without the possibility to do anything about it for 30 days, all due to a mistake on yor company's part.

I would like someone to contact me ASAP and help me find a solution to this problem.

Needless to say, I am left helpless, the weekend is starting and no one will be calling me for at least 72 hours. Think twice before using them!

The half price 6 month line rental procedure is not transparent.
Every opportunity is taken by mobiles.com to obscure the fact that this payment is by cash back redemption. When this become apparent to the customer the 7 day cooling off period will have passed and they refuse to accept cancellations in good faith.

In future I would avoid mobiles.co.uk at all costs and in addition their parent company carphone warehouse

Horrendous customer service.
As long as they can take your money all is ok, but  any kind  of problem you have they have no way of dealing with it.

I was told i would be responsible for a phone not received  simply because "I had ordered it." And that I was liable for the contract.
They ignored my messages, telling me response took 72 hours (of course unless it was a purchase.)

Asking to speak to a manager on weekends, I was told there are non around. And simply put on hold to customer services who after thirty minutes on hold, to a number I am getting charged for  I assume they are also not there on a Saturday.

The one worker, 'Alam' (Indeed I am curious if there are any more than this one guy ) I have been able to speak to is rude, obnoxious and righteous. He will dispute the customers rights and generally has an attitude. Does this means he works on commission, or is a victim of minimum wage  bitterness.

In less than 12 hours I was also  set up with insurance and gadget nonsense which I am sure I will also have to cancel independently of the retailer. Again I scream... what customer service?

If you can find an alternative I highly recommenced so,  very dissatisfied customer.   I assume, by there  irresponsible advise, or lack of training/common sense these guys will be good acquaintances with trading standards very soon.

Can't fault them or their customer service. Recently ordered a contract phone on contract and wanted a Nintendo Wii as free gift. I mistakenly ordered £200 cashback however. When the phone arrived I rang customer services and explained that I actually wanted the Nintendo Wii and could I change the free gift details. They said the only way they could do that would be to cancel the whole order and reorder which could cause problems. They then suggested that they pay me the £200 cashback straightaway by cheque instead. Cheque arrived 2 weeks later. Brilliant service.

I would strongly advise anyone thinking of entering a contract with this company to NOT do so, please read the reviews in relation to cashback..they will do anything to avoid paying out, I have been given false information been told my bill was not in the correct format etc. when questioned they do give false information stating they have now destroyed the bill I sent and will just not honour it. Please listen to the negative comments on here..... The customer service number is pointless no one will answer believe me I have tried contact them so many times and held for over an hour one one call.
You may receive your phone quickly and im sure your phone will work well but if you have a problem or a cash-back claim you have no hope.

I haven't even been able to get as far as even purchasing a mobile from mobiles.co.uk. I received an email from them stating, "All of our applications for contract mobile phones have to be passed to the network you selected for a credit check. Unfortunately in this instance the network declined the application, so we have no choice but to cancel your order." I rang Orange, my selected (and existing) network provider, and Orange confirmed that a) my credit rating is excellent; b) they had *no* record of any credit check being passed to them from mobiles.co.uk or anyone else (and I would note Orange customer services were _very_ helpful in trying to trace such a request). I then phoned mobiles.co.uk and was told they would put a note on my order for the credit check to be re-run. Lo and behold, another email from mobiles.co.uk stating I had been declined. Of course, in the meantime I had wasted £20 retrieving my credit files to check there was nothing odd -- stupidly I clicked through to checkmyfile from within the mobiles.co.uk email -- so I guess I've rewarded them with commission too...

Suffice to say I won't even attempt to order from mobiles.co.uk again, and if you have an excellent credit rating, I would recommend you don't either.

I ordered a Nokia C3 with free 32'' HD TV. Initially a delay due to me entering wrong sort code, of 2 day's. Phoned customer service at 9.30am took 5 min to get through, from then on all systems go, received consistent text messages regarding despatch and tracking. The reviews on this site really put me off to a point I was considering cancelling, but I can honestly not fault. Products were excellent. My only issue was really with DHL, but they were soon resolved. Advice from me is all issues seem to occur with cash back offer and lack of understanding how they work it. All in all, I say give them a chance, in the hundreds of mobiles they despatch a week there will always be a few problems. If you have issues deal directly with customer service. It is not a premium number so I think patience needs to be a virtue. If you want to shop on the internet with huge discounts then you need to accept and tolerate you are not going to get the service that you expect from a retail store.

Avoid. I ordered a mobile phone for my daughter -for her birthday - it never arrived.An email told me it had been dispatched. I emailed to find out where it was. I received an automated reply saying the website email was no longer functioning. It gave a contact tel number.

In total I spent over 5 hours waiting for a reply. No reply. Customer service does not exist.

I cancelled my order by letter.
Total cowboys. I can't believe they are still operating. Keep away.

The worst "customer service" I have EVER encountered.
My initial cashback claim was submitted via their website, and received no acknowledgement. So I tried contacting them through website, eventually got a conformation with the promise they would be in touch.
Yeah right!
So I try calling, and calling, and calling them, no one ever answers, until a month later when they tell me to send them by email with a personal email address.
So I do.
Still nothing.
By now i ma over the time limit, all due to their incompetencies.
So I have emailed the CEO and at leats he has replied.
They never acknowledge the emails and even give out the WRONG email addresses.
Seriously, they are awful.

Avoid cash-back deals whatever you do. Mobiles.co.uk will put you through the ringer to avoid paying. Any excuse, and a blank wall when you call customer services.  Read the reviews on all the other consumer sites too. Same story.  I'm learning the lesson the hard way. Once they have your cash they don't give it back unless you're lucky.  Seeing them in court soon!

Absolute Rubbish trader. It's about time cowboy companies like this were brought under some type of legal control. AVOID! They stealthily put me on a £7.99 insurance plan, and took money from my account for 11 months before I noticed. They did not provide a refund and pointed to some small print saying that I had been made aware I was on a "trial" service (without my choosing it). it was easy to order at first and get my mobile in like 2 days. i got the 24 month contract with 15 month half price line rental. the problem started when i made my claim, im supposed to get 5 separate cheques with £30 each. but, i had to wait more than two months to get my first cheque and its been more than 3 months since i submitted bills for my second cheque, and still havent heard anything from them. i have sent like 100s of email about that, and never got any reply.

so, i would suggest not to buy from them just for the cheap cashback deals, its not worth it.

I have been miss sold a mobile phone contract by mobiles.co.uk order ref: 872317. This contract was sold to me as having half price line rental, this was not correct in fact it had reduced line rental with cash back. The cash back was paid on the first 2 claims but on the 3rd August 2010 claim mobiles.co.uk have not paid my cash back or replied to emails requesting confirmation, and they have not given me an explanation. I have made many complaints to mobiles.co.uk, I have waited now over 40 days for my cash back that should be paid within 28 days. Mobiles.co.uk miss sold me this contract and have now failed to honour the agreement and have broken our contract. Mobiles.co.uk have changed the cash back procedure without informing me of the change, I suspect they hope customers would now fail to submit successful claims within the time period for cash back claims.

Ordering phone from web site appeared easy but no email acknowledging order received. Emailed their order processing dept. to see if order had gone through - no reply. And it went from bad to worse! Email acknowledgements were received, each giving more a new TID no., but never any answers to the questions I had included in my emails - do they read them I wonder. Conclusion is they have ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH customer services and should be avoided like the plague.

I can't fault their new order process but their after sales service is non existant.

Within just 15 days of receiving my HTC Desire, a fault developed with its power button (mostly it wouldn't turn off, just kept coming back on again - consequent battery life around 4 hours with the risk of it just ringing someone at random whilst in my pocket!)

I reported the fault by E-Mail on the Sunday (only the automated acknowledgement received to date) and by phone on the Monday (on hold for 40 minutes!) and it was agreed that the handset would be replaced only they didn't have any stock. Could I ring again on Friday.

Rang on Friday just as their switchboard opened. On hold for 20 minutes (how does that work? Presumably they open the switchboard but don't bother answering any calls before 09:20). Still no stock apparently even though they were advertising availablity for immediate delivey on their web site. They said they would contact me when stock was available.

That was over a fortnight ago and I've heard absolutely nothing. The handset has packed up entirely now and they're still adverstising availability for immediate delivery (that'll be to new customers only then). I really don't fancy another 40 minutes+ worth of a distorted instrumental version of Sail Away so I'm writing to their complaints address in the hope that someone there is able to read.

I have to admit i can't fault them. Ordered my IPhone 4 on a Thursday evening. Had an e-mail midday next day to say i had passed the networks security checks and just had to be cleared by their own internal security checks. Had a second e-mail the mid afternoon saying my order has been accepted and was awaiting despatch, then had a third e-mail before 5PM saying the phone had been despatched and should arrive next working day. It infact was delivered by Royal mail on the Saturday as i chose them over DHL. Now you can't fault service like that. Keep up the good work mobiles.co.uk, this is the second phone i have had from yourselves whith no problems what so ever.

Ordered an HTC Desire after 4pm on Wednesday 1st Sept, when website showed 'in stock' and 'guaranteed next day delivery' (if ordered before 4pm) so I expected it to be despatched on 2nd and delivery Friday 3rd. After chaser received apologetic email Saturday 4th saying it had been out of stock, but they now have stock so should be despatched Monday 6th for delivery on 7th. Still no confirmation of despatch and no reply to further email chasers. So much for 'guaranteed next day delivery' and don't trust the 'in stock' feature.
Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow, otherwise I will have to cancel and order elsewhere.

Went to return my phone 2 days after I bought it as I was not happy with it

Got told that as I bought it from an actual store and not on-line that there policy is not to allow cooling off eriod

Im like "what the f**k"

they say this is apparently ok by law...

now im stuck on a 24 month contract with a rubbish phone

theres no way im taking this lying down , sons of bitches.

I asked the guy when I bought it "can I return it if im not happy with it?"  he said "yeah sure no problem"

Terrible to deal with, they messed up the order and I recieved 2 phones and 2 contracts.

The signed me up to some tech support service I never asked for (TMTI)and never responded to my query I sent them so I just cancelled the payments to that service.

They never answer the phone or respond to emailed queries.

As soon as this contract is up I'm going elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible company to deal with.

Sent back a deal that I had purchsed in-correctly and they failed to cancell the contract. It took them 2 months and cost me £70 in wasted money.

When they finally managed to cancel the contract,I re-bought the correct one and recieved notification that it would be delivered on wednesday, that was a week ago and still no word. Customer services have been contacted numerous times and have ignored me each time.

Hopefully my phone will turn up at some point in the future but I'm starting to loose hope.

Will never do business with again.

Would  not touch this company with a barge pole, I emailed them 6 times regarding my cashback claim. These emails were totally ignored, I even sent them emails begging them to reply to me as I needed to know when to claim. They did email back however two months later and told me I was too late. I am still fighting my case as I have all my (50) emails, but I don't hold out much hope. Keep away from them.

Positive: the deal. Exactly the same as what O2 and T-mobile were offering with the phone I wanted - but with cashback.

Negative: customer services are very mysterious indeed. I wonder if there really is a customer service team out there somewhere. You are strongly discouraged to phone them (an automated voice warns you if you do that you may have to wait for ages so it's best to e-mail), so I e-mailed my questions about the cashback system four days ago - still no response. Maybe that's why their cashback deals are so good, you have to wonder - perhaps they never get back to you when you ask how exactly you redeem your claims (we all know how essential it is to get all the details right when making a claim... or they'll simply deem it invalid)? I suppose I'll just have to guess - and hope for the best.

Good deal on the phone.  A friend had used this site before and had a good experience with email notification and prompt delivery. Ordered my phone, but then did not receive it for a week.  So much for next day delivery.  It was ordered over the very cold icy period in the new year, but an email would not have gone amiss to notify us of the delay due to staff shortages and delivery problems.  Just no communications.  My friend got email notification of tracking number, not  me.  Phone then failed after 5 days, contacted mobiles.co.uk by email and again no contact for 3 days so eventually phoned and was informed that they had no stock of my top of the range HTC touch phone.  Five days later stock back in, contacted mobiles.co.uk and phone replaced very quickly with no issues.  Again a communication issue with Mobiles.co.uk not keeping customer informed.  Once you do get action it is very quick.  They could have fired back an email to say that they are out of stock and give a rough date when stock in due in and hence when I could get a replacement.  New phone screen now works correctly.  Phone fault is not theirs, but they do need to work on customer service and response times.  Quite different to my friend you bought a low end touch-phone had had a very good service

Found the website good and the deals better than or comparable to others. The delivery was a bit slow but this was certainly because of snow and not due to mobiles.co.uk.  

My problem was that, despite putting my address correctly into the online order form, they transcribed it incorrectly and this led to O2 having a concern over my credit rating so I had to pay a big deposit. The address error was only discovered when I logged into my O2 account and, once O2 had the new address, they offered to refund the deposit ... in three months time!  Mobiles.co.uk had also given the incorrect address to DHL but, having guessed this would happen, I asked them to change it and they did so quite quickly.  I would have expected them to contact me re the incorrect address but, so far, nothing.  If hadn't been for that, and for the trouble/deposit, I would have probably given them a 4 or 5 star rating.

I must say I have have been extremely pleased and impressed with the service I have so far received from mobiles.co.uk.
Although we have always been happy with 02(we have 3 separate contracts), I was very disappointed that they were unwilling to renew my 19 year old daughter's expiring 24 month contract on an identical discounted tariff with a new handset. As it was not imperative for my daughter to retain her mobile number (in my experience, transferring numbers can be a very hit and miss process), I therefore cancelled the contract and looked elsewhere for a reasonable deal.  
From a search on the web I found found that mobiles.co.uk had a very easy to use website and excellent offers on an impressively large range of handsets and tariffs.  
We found that mobiles.co.uk were offering exactly what my daughter was looking for: a Tocco Lite handset and an 02 tariff with 1200 inclusive minutes and unlimited texts for the equivalent of £20 per month (she is at University!). The handset/SIM card arrived within 2 working days of placing the order, despite being during the severe weather conditions over New Year holiday , and everything is working perfectly.
The offer involved taking a £40 per month, 2 year contract directly with 02 and claiming back the 'one year free' from mobiles.co.uk in regular instalments over 5 specific months of the 24 month period. A copy of the 02 invoice for that month is required as proof of the continued contract and claims can now be submitted electronically.
This process is clearly detailed on the website and, provided it is followed closely (which I intend to do!), I have no reason to doubt that the money will be refunded; mobiles.co.uk are a subsidiary of Carphone Warehouse, which I believe is a reputable company.
The only other condition of the contract was that we initially sign up for phone insurance (£5.99 per month) and access to the 'Gadgets Geek Squad' helpline (£2.99 per month), with the assurance that these could be cancelled at any time.  As we required neither of these services we have already cancelled them without any difficulty.
I have been very pleased with mobiles.co.uk so far and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending their services to friends and relatives. In fact, I will be actively seeking to do this as mobiles.co.uk will pay £40 for every referal that results in the purchase of a pay monthly handset! Very impressive service - well done mobiles.co.uk!

I'd had my eye on a new phone for some time. The nokia n900.It seemed to take forever to be officially released on contract in the UK. When it finally was available I searched around a lot for the best deal available and I believe I got myself a bargain from mobiles.co.uk.
   The phone is amazing and I'm very happy with it. I am using my new n900 right now over wifi to post this. I think I would call it a mini laptop which has phone functionality added. The only slight niggle is that the little kickstand seems to only be hinged at one side and I'm sure it's supposed to be on both sides. I'm taking it in to a nokia dealer who I hope should be able to just replace the back cover.
   Overall I would say if you are looking for a good deal on the web, and comparing deals, then check out mobiles.co.uk it's definitely worth a look. They've been around for ages and are backed by carphonewarehouse.

The package available on line could not be matched by the contract provider I was with.  From selecting the package to delivery was only a matter of a few days, which with the post christmas holidays and the snow was absolutely fabulous.  The phone and the laptop have both exceded my expectations.

Mobiles.co.uk arranged the upgrade of my current contract with Vodafone to my new tariff.  I now have 5 times as many minutes, with a new phone and a free laptop for the same monthly contract fee, on the same network.  I couldn't be more pleased and I hope this continues for the whole of my contract.

When I tried to activate my SIM I was advised that for for some reason a port date for my number had been input for over 1 week later. I was surprised to find out I could get a free PS3 for setting up my contract with mobiles.co.uk and in some ways thought it was too good to be true!  The website promised next day delivery, but after 3 working days my phone had not turned up.  It was over the new year bank holiday, so gave them a bit of a chance. I received no notification that the delivery would be late.  I tried to call, but nobody answered the phone and there was not even an automated advice service or call waiting system as would be expected from any company serious about customer service.  I started to fear the worst.  I sent a message on the on-line query service, but did not receive a reply.  After day 4 I got an email saying my phone had been despatched for next day delivery.  2 days later the phone arrived with free PS3!  In the end a good result.  Bit of a disappointing service, but having said all that, if I had gone to a high street shop with all the face to face reassurances, I would not be playing on my free PS3 now.  Shame about the customer service.

Stay away from the clearance models. Our phone is faulty and I am trying to exchange it but the structure of the company is making life very difficult and inconvenient. We have to send the phone back and wait for a new one to be sent which means that we will be without a phone for 3 days and my wife is due to give birth any day now so this is less than ideal. Everyone we speak to is polite but they do not have the power to do anything other than quote the standard T&C's. I guess you get what you pay for so I will not be using mobiles.co.uk ever again.

i bought the lg cookie with the free laptop deal for 30 quid a month. the deal in its self was awesome, new phone, free laptop and 600 minutes with unlimited texts!!
the laptop is great peice of kit, widescreen display perfect for movies, avarage size harddrive(250) and ram(3).the phone isnt brilliant but it ll do for what i use it for. only problem is its been 30 odd hours and i still havent had my sim card activated.

The service we got provided with was rather slow, and communication with the website was also terrible, as there are no direct contact details to the company, on their website. I have received their phone number after a week, but the phone came after around a week (ordered 31st, came 8th). Hopefully the service that we will be provided with in a future will be more pleasurable, generally the deal we got was rather good, the biggest problem that we had with the company is a lack of direct contact details with the company, they only got their e-mail addresses on the website - NO telephone numbers as such.

I am really pleased with the service I have received from Mobiles.co.uk, they had the best deal for the handset that I wanted and communication with Mobiles.co.uk was good. They encourage email contact, but I received a response same working day, and although the phone I wanted was out of stock, it was delivered to me within 3 days. I have a Samsung Jet and am really pleased with the phone, overall, a fantastic experience. I have 17 months cashback with the phone, hopefully this will be an easy process in 6 motnhs time

great service and phone offers the cheapest ive found.. i brought the sony ericsson w995, it is a fantastic phone. This is the first time i have had a contract phone so although im pleased with the fast delivery and product im not so happy with the lack of info relating to how and what happens once you recieve your phone i wasnt aware that the sim comes inactive and i had to wait upto 7days for it to activate. When i tried to contact someone it took me awhile to find a contact number from the website and then they shut at 5.30pm, which didnt help when my arrived at 5.20pm that day. Its all sorted now..and yes i would buy from them again..my daughter interested in the pink w995 when they have them..

Utterly Crap service !!!!

After using their preffered medium of email to question if they support taking over old number via the web as it was not apparent on their website i got no answer.
Found the answer myself so ordered a phone the Touch Pro2 with a 35 month contract
Nothing happens for two weeks try emailing Again ..
No response what so ever.

So called them up to resolve the Issue
The staff on the line was very helpfull &clear what had happened. they had ran out  of stock and couldnt get anymore of the phones in.
So they didnt bother telling me.

Then i changed my order to the HTC HD2 and then there was a problem with the PAC code as nothing had happened before.

Now i have actually got my phone it took a while to turn up (it is snowing heavily no fault to mobiles.co.uk)

1 week and no working Sim card spoke with vodafone and they have no idea who i am (the company my contract is with).

Called mobiles told yeah wait till 4:00pm because it "states on the website number porting can take upto 7 days"

Its now day 8 and i am unable to get hold of mobiles.co.uk my emails go unanswered and i am unable to get hold of staff Via phone.


Overall if you can get hold of staff they are polite pleasant caring good natured and proffesional, but the structure of Mobiles.co.uk leaves alot to be desired. I have never had to spend over 6 weeks trying to get a phone.
but the deals are good just hope its worth the stress.

I ordered the HTC Hero from mobiles.co.uk as they were offering the best deal. Unfortunately the phone was out of stock, which I did not notice when I placed the order online. I had immediate confirmation of my order via text and email, my only criticism was the repetition of some of the communication emails which at times were a little confusing. It would have been nice to deal with one person but the emails always seemed to be coming from different people, overall however the communication was good. Once the phone was back in stock my order was dispatched promptly and it turned up when it was supposed to. The phone I ordered came with a months free insurance and gadget cover, I cancelled both of these services which was a very quick and easy process using the supplied telephone numbers on one of the emails. The HTC Hero is an excellent phone and I would not hesitate in using mobiles.co.uk again.

Ordered a Samsung Jet on Eveing of Wednesday 6 January, and despite the weather it was delivered in Friday afternoon 8 January. Mobiles.co.uk contacted me on the Thursday to inform me that part my order (leather case) was not yet available but that they would ship that when it came back into stock.

Now awaiting the paparework from Orange but the phone is fine and the deal certainly better than avilable on the high street (including those in The Carphone Warehouse!)

Certainly recommend others investigate when looking for a new phone.

Excellent website, I found it very easy to compare offers and contracts.

Ordered my phone which initially showed as instock, but a day later I received a text and email advising me that it was now temporarily out of stock.  Mobiles.Co.Uk kept me updated regularly with emails, and the phone arrived about 5 days after I ordered it. Very pleased with my phone, but an instruction book would have been useful!

On two ocassions I did try contacting Mobiles.Co.Uk via their phone line but I eventually gave up as I could not get an answer.

Also I would have liked the option when placing the order whether or not I wanted to take up their offer of one months free phone and gadget support insurance.  These insurances came automatically and as I do not want them I have to remember to cancel them asap.

Overall great website with fantastic offers, I would recommend them to others.

I ordered a new Nokia 5800 on Vodaphone contract from mobiles.co.uk it was by far the best deal that I could find. The delivery took 3 days which I thought was excellent considering the country was at a standstill at the time due to the white out! The only negative is the lack of information from Vodaphone that was supplied with the phone. I gave my existing mobile number and PAC code when ordering but I only received an inactive SIM card and it has taken two E-mails and a phone call to their customer services to get it sorted out. I should be connected tomorrow, 9 days after ordering the phone.

Before reading any further please know that I am a person who will always give positive customer satisfaction comments when they are due - I make a point of it.  My following comments are exactly how I feel and not caused by someone who only posts negative comments.

They are truly the worst company for customer service that I have ever dealt with and I would not recommend anyone to have anything at all to do with them unless you have hours spare on a daily basis to sort out the problems that dealing with this company causes. Tomorrow I will be contacting Trading Standards and Oftel.

Had I known that their customer service was truly so appauling I would never have considered them. I now see from others that I am not one of a handful experiencing their appauling service but one of many.

I truly wish I had taken the time to find out what others thought before I started this awful process of getting a new phone for my daughter's birthday (which has now passed and I have not been able to let her have her phone as some 4 working days after receipt of it mobiles.co.uk have still not answered my query although they promote a 4 hour email service level, I have rang them, returned 3 of their new forms, emailed them 4 times, spent endless time queueing on unanswered phones.  Truly appauling.

Very easy to choose my phone, especially since i knew i wanted a Nokia. Was then able to easily view all the price plans ffrom all the available networks, chose my tariff, chose my gift, placed the order. Had a minor issue with getting the order processed but the contact section worked well and efficiently and once the order went through i did indeed get the phone next day by DHL. Even DHL man was nice and came back after i missed him delivering it first time round! all in all a very good experience, would recommend and use again!

I ordered an LG Chocolate BL40 mobile phone through mobiles.co.uk .  In my opinion this is the best touch phone on the market for my needs.  I really like the QWERTY keyboard facility on it and the large screen.  I have since ordered a leather case for the phone from another supplier on ebay - very reasonably priced and it keeps the phone protected.  I found mobiles.co.uk on the internet when I searched for cheap contract phones.  They have a massive selection of handsets and deals to look through.  I believe that it's a good idea to know which phone you want first otherwise you can have so many options to choose from that it can be confusing - this is by no means a negative critisism of the website.  I couldn't find a better deal anywhere else and I got 10 months half price line rental on my deal.  You do not have to choose this, many come with other free gifts such as DAB digital radio, et.c  I have already recommended mobiles.co.uk to my friends.

This site was recommended to me by a friend who is also a customer. The Company beat any other offer in the phone market. The sales person was very knowledgable on the types of phone and which was the best for me.

Unfortunately there is a fault with my phone, so it's gone back to www.mobiles.co.uk returns department for a new replacement, these things happen on occasions.

Overall I'm happy with the service, apart from I don't think they work on Sundays as had no contact over this period..

It's gonna be a case of watch this space!!, but all going well so far.

One last thing, go for the gift offer over the 1/2 price line rental as you see the benefits straight away, otherwise you need to send your bills in over different periods to claim your money back, this is very reliant on you remembering to do so.

I would have preffered the gift option :( A lot less hastle, however as I'm a new customer, I'm still negotiating a change of gift option with customer services, as was within 7 days of asking to change this part of the contract. Heres hoping anyway.

Placed order with Mobiles.co.uk on the 2 Jan and received phone on 6th (delivered a day late by Royalmail due to the snow).  The website was easy to use and the phone which was a 'Clearance' offer arrived in a plain box but is as new, with plenty of info on how to port my number.  I have opted for the 11 mths free line rental which I have to claim back at regular interviews throughout my contract, it seems simple but we shall have to see!

My only critisim of Mobiles.co.uk is that you automatically get signed up for the Gadget Helpline and Phone Care policy, these are free for the first month but then need to be cancelled.

Mobiles.co.uk have a reasonable website with good reference to lots of functions on the phones.
Easy to compare options with diff networks.  Phone arrived very rapidly, mobiles.co.uk explained correct number port process &it was easy to arrange.
All very straight forward, explained well up front, so far just as detailed.
I have a cashback option which first matures 6 months away, so I'll see how that goes - but if service thus far is an indicator, it should go smoothly.

Superb Prices. Really informative website with a broad range of deals, phones and offers. The service is lightning quick with next day delivery if ordered before 4pm. I also had no problem with the no quibble exchange on my first handset, a Sony Ericsson Satio. I didn't get on with the handset and sent it in to exchange with a Samsung Omnia 2 on the same monthly contract. Sent in Monday, They recieved it Tuesday, processed the eschange and I had it on Wednesday afternoon. You can't fault service like that. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mobiles co uk everything went to plan. Kept updated with order and good communication through the order process and after Also got cashback through Quidco. Wish you could select or otherwise the insurance and the gadget thingy at checkout other than that I would recommend mobiles co uk (let’s hope they stick to their side of the deal -  the half price line rental). Oh nearly forgot to mention the Samsung Omnia 2 what a phone – I need not say anymore.

Following an indepth search online for my next mobile contract I was happy to come across mobiles.co.uk.

The order process was very easy and found the delivery extremely speedy...on receipt of which was very pleased with the Sony Aino compared with my then current phone the Samsung Soul which had served me well.

The only negative with regards my order was the lack of 'tracking' on my order through TopCashBack which promised me a £40 return. This has been reported to TopCashBack ad hope to have this issue resolved in the near future.

The website was easy to follow and it gave a much clearer experience than most of the other sites I visited. They contacted me via text, e-mail and over the phone when there was a problem which they quickly rectified and then sent me an e-mail to stated they were back on track. Essentially a delay of 1hour on their end meant no delay for me because of their quick turnaround in customer support. I purchase a c510 with a greate rebate which ensures that I will get great minutes and text at £10 a month with a good cyber-shot phone. Will use agian and would recommend over the other site I used previously (D-a-P)

OK, first I tried to buy a Nokia music express type phone which turned out to be out of stock. So mobiles.co.uk put the order on hold, I got impatient after a week.

Cancelling your order on mobiles.co.uk is not simple when this happens, emails took longer to respond to than promised and there's no number to call, (they did respond after a few days) and in the end I just cancelled by email and ordered an alternative phone on a separate order on the assumption the cancellation would be honoured, it was and mobiles.co.uk wrote back saying so the next day. Its something that needs tweaking rather than a huge complaint.

I'd already been mulling over the Nokia 6303 so I went for that.

The deal was very good, better than I could get going direct through the network and the phone looked excellent. In addition to more free minutes than normal I am expecting a £100 cashback and the box the phone came in included an unexpected £10 House of Frazer voucher which bought me a new thermos flask. I could not find a better deal anywhere on the web or in shops.

The 6303 has turned out very nice, usability is good, reception is excellent picking up a good signal in areas where cheaper phones fail. It has some good free games on it. The screen is clear and while its not as fancy overall as the latest touch screen models it has an air of sophisticated quality that is very pleasant. Its a bit like buying a Volvo convertible instead of a fancy new BMW Z3, cool, understated good taste, but then I would say that I suppose having picked it.

You can get silicone covers for it, I did, a black one it fits nicely and suits the phone.

The keys are a bit close together for my big fat fingers but still perfectly usable, women and most men will have no problems.

The calendar alarm and organiser tools are good and the home screen can be personalised nicely.

The main feature I was after was its music capabilities and these are just superb, volume is not stupidly limited and the sound quality is as good as any mp3 player I have owned which includes Creative Zens, iPods and Sansa clips. The standard headphone jack makes it easy and practical to use and the interface includes selection and play by artist, album, playlists etc, you can even easily create bespoke playlists on the fly. I really can't fault it in any way, its almost an outstanding music player with a built in phone. The 4gb memory card is adequate for a 20 - 40 CDs, I will try an 8gb one day but its not officially supported. You can of course use your mp3s as alarms, it does support WMA files. Even the free headphones that come with it are suprisingly good quality. I find buds hurt my small ears so they were immediately swopped for proper headphones but the sound quality was very respectable.

Battery life is good but not as excellent as some reviews suggest in my opinion, but certainly not a problem, 2-3 days with moderate use including listening to nusic.

All in all good service from mobiles.co.uk with prompt delivery of a phone I am very happy with.

My experience with mobiles.co.uk was a very pleasant one.
I ordered the phone during the postal strike period and they kind enough to send my order via DHL. That was a a very clever move, nobody wants to wait for days for a new phone.

I love my new phone and the price was just right.
My old provider was offering the same phone for £15 with less units.

I will always recomment this site to my friends.

I bought a vodafone contract with free Nokia Xpress 5530.

Delivery was next day as promised, after a few days the handset developed a fault but after 2 short emails the phone was returned for a replacement.

Excellent price for the contract, good customer service when things went wrong. Very happy so far. Would definitely recommend this company.

Easy to use website offering good quality gifts and a speedy despatch.I have bought a Samsung C3050 which has a problem with the battery which i am trying to resolve with Mobiles at the moment. So, so far Customer service has been good but as they do not operate a call centre as such you may be waiting some time on the phone before you get to speak to an operator, but once you do they seem friendly, courteous and happy to help.

The service started extremely well, excellent deals and a speedy delivery. Part of the order was not fulfilled and I was kept informed of the delay, however after a week I had a telephone call to inform me that the phone ordered was no longer available. I was told that I would be called with a list of alternative phones on a similar deal, I missed the call and then had to start chasing up to see what I could do.

All was quite straightforward.  Bit of a pain staying in all day for delivery but no worse than any other company in this department. I had a question that I needed to ask and I sent this by email - the website said that they would respond within 24 hours but in reality it was more like a week.  Phone is great, absolutey no problems there and it is a really cool Samsung model.  I am still waiting to see if I get my cashback offer that was promised. Shopping was easy,delivery fast. The phone has had a few glitches but all in all the service was good. Just keep in mind that if you do have a problem with your handset you will be without a phone. Mobiles procedure is that you have to sent the handset back and when they get hold of it they will send you a new one. Not very good if you dont have a spare phone to use.

I ordered my Samsung Omnia II from mobiles.co.uk and comparing with all other sellers they offered the best deal! The website is very easy to use and gives you a lot of choice to find what you are looking for.

The delivery was really quick and came via DHL. The only problem I had was that when I received my handset it only had 2gb of memory when the website showed 8gb. I contacted Customer Service and they apologised that the description on the website was a mistake. They did not stock the 8gb model so sent me a 8gb memory card the next day.

Great customer service &prices... Would recommend!

I found shopping online with this company was easy and the choices were very good with great prices, i found it much better than other sites i had been on.
I experienced two problems not being able to contact anyone directly, i like to talk to people rather than posting a comment or emailing.
The second problem was the delivering of the phone, DHL would only deliver during working hours, and as i work this was very frustrating they also wouldn't deliver to my work address even though i offered to show as much ID as they needed, so i had to take a day off work to collect the phone.

Ordered a samsung tocco lite with free ps3. had no feedback after 3 days so phoned them was told ps3 was out of stock and i could wait till they were in stock before getting phone or get money equivelint.  still waiting on money but was told could take up to 28 days.
So far i am happy with service customer support were very helpfull and i received the phone quickly and also received a follow up call to see if everything was in order.

Easy to use website, Part of the Carphone Warehouse so seem alot more trustworthy to buy from them.
they do alot of free gifts with mobile phones so you think "is this deal too good to be true?" but bought a Pink Lg cookie with a sony vaio laptop, everything got delivered on the next day with royal mail special.
Sales team were good and well informed, lets hope when i upgrade with them the service will be consistent xox
