About Nokia phones

Nokia phones is the largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world with it's head office based in Finland Nokia phones employs 123,000 people across the world. With a revenue of 41 billion euros a year and in 2009 Nokia phones profits were in the region of 1.2 billion euros. With these impressive statistics it's no wonder they are flying the flag for Nokia phones. With a large number of new Nokia phones being released frequently throughout the year there is always a great Nokia handset to suit everybody.

Nokia released the world first transportable handset in 1984 called the Mobira Talkman, Nokia then went on to release their first hand held mobile phone in 1987, this was called the Mobira Cityman 900 weighing 800 grams and costing around 4500 euros it was snapped off the shelves as the customers saw it as a status symbol. In 2004 Nokia phones released their first touch screen handset the Nokia 7710 which was a great success. Nokia's first ever Symbian operating system and camera phone was the Nokia 7650 and was released in 2002 for around 600 euros.

The Nokia phones always have the best technology incorporated in to them. Nokia use the Symbian operating system for a majority of their mobile phones giving the user the best Nokia phone experience possible. You can update the software for your Nokia phone on their website giving you new features, updated apps and improvement on the performance of you Nokia phone. Nokia phones also provide the user with fantastic applications from their very own Ovi store. Here you can upload music, videos, games and add applications including eBuddy Mobile Messenger that allows you to chat to your friends on MSN, Facebook and MySpace. Many of the apps are free but there is a small charge for some. You can also upload all of the latest maps with Ovi maps, plan routes and save them to your Nokia phone. The Ovi store also allows you to edit and back up the contacts in your Nokia phone so if your phones gets lost or damaged you won't loose your contacts.

There doesn't seem to be anything stopping Nokia in their tracks as Nokia phones are well known for reliability and durability plus all of the fantastic software available we think Nokia phones will always be at the top of the mobile phone leader board.
