O2 is owned by a Spanish company - Telefonica - which by many over here in Spain is regarded as the worst telephone company out. They have no regard for the way they behave - will take money from your bank even when you cancel your contract - are not bothered about helping you - will pretend to help but do nothing except pass you from one dept. to another. They are seen as the absolute PITS - thankfully there are now other companies to go for who respect you and are more than willing to help you and are much cheaper for the same or similar service - not surprisingly they are run by Brits . avoid 02 as it sounds like they are doing the same in the UK as here in Spain.

I have been with O2 for about 6-7 years always happy with them till today. I rang up to upgrade my contract and phone, was on 600min, 1000 text , free o2 – o2 calls and free internet for £22 a month. Spoke to the lady who told me I was not on 600mins but 400min (not what I was lead to believe) and that my loyalty has been removed! (not happy) so she offered me the same deal but at the raised price of £32.00 a month.. Then asked what phone I would like. I had seen the Sony Ericson w995, she then added that this would cost me £100 if I wanted that phone!!!!!!!! 6 years of been with them and their raising my contract and asking me to pay for a phone! I phoned round and spoke to orange who offered me the Sony Ericson w995 free, 1000 text, 900mins and free internet for £25 a month. Ok by me! Rang to cancel my contract spoke to a very rude man, who then offered me all sorts of deals, free this, free that and free home broadband... he got down to £25 pound but still with not with the same phone or mins. If they could offer me this in the first place I maybe wouldn’t be leaving, I want the best deal they can offer first time!!! after 6 years with them or even 6 months with them not when I wanting to leave. I said I wasn’t interested, they had their chance to offer me a good deal at first instead they tried to bend me over! He then was very very rude mumble at me and hung up! Orange here I come. Seems like there only interest in you if you’re a new customer not a loyal customer!

Have been with o2 for years and i have never had any problems always helpful coverage you can count on when others fail, yes there tariffs could do with an over haul but they will try and suit your life to your useage and not what they can get from you.
There o2 broad band is also good with free phone number for any queries. And they are always very helpful

Who ever buys O2 phones please always keep your reciepts and contracts. Never loose them. I have been with O2 about 2 years now and about to finish my 3rd Year and i rang them up for an upgrade and was told that i am on an 18 month contract. I hate 18 month contract and know i have never signed up for one. They have done this to me the 3rd time now. I had to argue with the representative on the phone and then had to fax my reciept over to prove i am on an 18 month contract. I have come across a few people where O2 have used the same tactics. Be very carefull. I wont be upgrading this year and will be cancelling my contract.
BE CAREFULL.

I have had very bad experiences with O2, I had a fault on my phone that no one seemed to care about, out of all the people I spoke too no one seemed to be able to help me even though I had pushed all the correct buttons to get me through to the correct section, after having no luck I asked for an O2 supervisor but they refused to put me through and as of yet no one had called me back as promised.
The funny thing is O2 seemed a lot more interested in me when I wanted to cancel my contract and move to another network.

The English speaking O2 customer service team are very professional and any problems can be sorted by whoever answers the phone.
Unfortunately O2 don’t do the best deals on contract tariffs like there competitors.
I think compared to Carphone warehouse reviews I have read recently O2 are much better.
I have been a customer directly through O2 for 6 years, my tariffs are very good and easy to understand, there network coverage is also very good.
O2 have made using my phone abroad easy to understand too, making my charges very clear so I don’t have any nasty surprises when I come home.
O2 Tariffs
O2 have special online tariffs which as you can guess from the name can only be purchased online. 02 tariffs range from 18 to 24 months, the longer you commit too the more minutes and text 02 will through into your bundle. For £35 a month 02 will give you 600 minutes and 1000 texts per month, this is based on an 18 month contract. If this is not quite enough for you there is an online 45 tariff which allows you 1200 minutes and 1000 texts per minute. Both these tariffs give you unlimited O2 to 02 calls and free online itemised billing.
