Rating:
I've had my HTC Magic for over a week now and it is absolutely superb.
Texting/writing emails, although hard to get used to at first due to me having a proper keypad on my previous phone, is incredibly easy - especially in Landscape mode (the handset feels really comfortable in the hands). If you have GMAIL or a google account, this is the phone for you as everything is in sync - the phone automatically saved phone numbers in my online gmail so they'll never be lost. The sync with googlemail is as good as a blackberry.
Web browsing is where it really comes into it's own - it is super fast on Vodafones 3G network (far faster than T-Mob who I was on before) and in WiFi mode it is as quick as my Sony Vaio laptop.
Only downside so far is battery life - about 1 day then it needs recharging, but I am using it constantly.
Am really glad I bought this over an iPhone. Far cooler and loads of good apps to download (for free) from Android Marketplace.
