The Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturing company has announced its latest offering, which is named as the HTC Wildfire. The unit is a bit different from its predecessors. Look wise, the mobile phone bears close resemblance with HTC Desire and it includes the similar processor that powers HTC Hero. The display screen of the handset is better than HTC Tattoo and it is definitely a better choice for all those users that are looking for a touch screen smart phone on a tight budget. HTC Wildfire is definitely going to add on the style statement of the user with its similar Desire-like look and HTC HD2 style metal band across the back.
HTC Wildfire – the look and the display
Let’s continue with the look of the mobile phone and check out its display features. HTC Wildfire looks stylish and trendy from every angle. As mentioned above, the handset bears great resemblance with its big brother Desire, but the size of Wildfire is smaller. In fact, it gives more comfortable experience to hold than the bigger Desire. The size is comfortable enough to fit in the pocket of the user. If you like to go by the figures, then check out its measurement, which is 106.8 x 60.4 x 12 mm. The entire front panel of the device is covered with the touch screen display, which enhances the appeal even further. At the bottom portion of the touch screen, there are touch sensitive major functioning keys such as the home key, menu key, back key and search key. The logo of HTC is inscribed on the top of the display and also at the back. It is definitely cute and comfortable.
HTC Wildfire includes capacitive touch screen that measures 3.2 inches. The major highlights of the display include HTC sense UI, multi touch input, accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn off, and optical trackpad.
HTC Wildfire – the operating system
The mobile phone is powered by the Android™ 2.1 operating system. However, when the new operating system will be released by Google, the Wildfire can also get upgrade to 2.2 Froyo. The latest version of Sense is also running in the device and hence it is obvious that the users of Wildfire can enjoy many features of Desire and Legend such as animated wallpapers, friend stream and better Exchange functionality.
HTC Wildfire Review – sharing applications
If you get the HTC Wildfire then you can enjoy downloading and sharing applications. The mobile phone comes loaded with an App sharing tool that allows the users to share application with the friends. There is a dedicated icon on the device that provides direct access to the applications. You have to just select the applications that you want to share and share it via text, email or social networks. A link to the Android™ Market will be displayed to the recipients and they can use that link to download the applications.
HTC Wildfire Review – network and connectivity
It is crucial for any mobile phone to have the adequate support of network and HTC Wildfire is not different either. It is capable of providing support to the users of both 2G and 3G network. The 2G network users will get the support of the quad band GSM service 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 and dual band HSDPA 900/ 2100.

This much of memory is capable of storing practically unlimited phone book entries and fields and the call records. To use the mobile phone to its full potential the storage capacity needs to be increased and it can be done by expanding memory by using the microSD™ card. The memory of HTC Wildfire can be expanded up to 32 GB. The mobile phone includes good collection of applications and hence proper memory back up is a must.
