LG GD900 review

LG GD900 review

Well, what do we have here, the worlds first TRANSPARENT mobile phone. When we first heard about this phone we couldn't quite believe it but here it is presented to us as the LG GD900 Crystal. In looks alone it staggers you as there are no visible wires or circuit boards and that is without all the features and technologies that have been packed into this very beautiful, elegant and very stylish mobile phone. The LG GD900 Crystal is a slide design handset that is slim and slender in size with measurements of 105mm x 52.5mm x 13.5mm making for a superb fit in the palm of the hand and for great manageability when operating. The 3 inch TFT WVGA LCD transparent touch keypad on the LG GD900 has been protected by tempered glass therefore looking a lot tougher than it actually looks, with GUI that completes the transparent look. There are 16 million colours and screen resolutions of 480 x 800 WVGA pixels making for crisp and vivid displayed wide images to the user along with fast and rich colourful 3D graphics. Users can really enjoy using the touch keypad without the concern of touch whilst taking a call with the proximity sensor. The user can browse through the menus and features through fingertip rolling and direct access to the features with the Gesture Shortcut technology. Another added benefit to this handset is the Accelerometer sensor for auto rotate display when viewing the screen. Now you may be wondering how do you see the ever fantastic transparent keypad in the dark, well the answer to that is the emotional white lightening technology that really brightens up the controls.

LG GD900 – Camera & Imaging

Enjoy taking fantastic quality snap shots with the touch of a finger on the LG GD900 mobile phone as the handset comes with an 8 mega-pixel camera feature. This function comes with a host of imaging settings and abilities which includes auto-focus and CMOS. Being an 8 mega-pixel camera feature this will hot up the competition with the Samsung INNOV8 and the C905 imaging feature phones. The user can also enjoy recording their video footage on their LG GD900 mobile phone to capture those special and treasured moments wherever you happen to be.

LG GD900 Crystal Review – Internet & Connectivity

Accessing the internet via the LG GD900 handset is a speedy and simple process due to the built-in WAP 2.0, HTML 4.01 and XHTML 1.1 web browsing technologies. Supported networks on the LG GD900 cover GSM – 850/900/1800/1900 providing the user with the full service of their mobile phone whilst abroad. Connecting to other compatible devices is a simple and straightforward process also with the Bluetooth with A2DP version 2.1, USB/PC Sync 2.0and WLAN Wi-fi technologies that are all present and available to the user.

LG Crystal GD900 Review – Music Entertainment

For pure entertainment and those chill out moments the user can enjoy the built-in MP3 music player system on the LG GD900 mobile phone. Supported music formats include MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-NB/WB/WB+, WMA/WMA Pro, AC3 and MIDI-Video files. The user really make the LG Crystal GD900 mobile phone their own by adding a unique ring-tone to the handset from a selection of tones available, making for all round style. The LG GD900 Crystal comes with a gigantic 1.5 gigabytes of built-in internal user memory. If you find this is not enough why not add a MicroSD™ transflash card of up to a staggering 32 gigabytes. This will provide a huge amount of storage space for all the users music, photo's, videos and downloads.

LG GD900 Review – Gaming & Applications

If you enjoy playing games on your mobile then you will enjoy the built-in gaming features on the LG Crystal mobile phone. They include Java MIDP 2.0 and two touch screen friendly pre-loaded games.

There is a fantastic selection of application tolls on this sleek looking LG mobile phone some of which include MS Office and PDF viewer. Application tools are those handy little features we call upon for assistance when we get into a quandary. They can help us stay on time, organised and help keep life flowing a little more ease.

LG GD900 Review – Summary

Where do we start, we at mobilefonereviews.co.uk think this mobile phone is in a league of its own. When it comes to the design and looks let alone the high quality technologies that come packed into this slim and sleek handset, it will definitely capture the eye and turn heads. We would say it will suit all users but this really will come down to taste and the price tag. One of the features we really do like is the Intuitive Touch Wheel for fine tuning the media player, camera and gallery functions. This handset is simply stunning, most definitely unique and very user friendly. We wonder if this will be the very first and last transparent mobile phone, only time will tell. Well done LG for bringing us such a marvel of a mobile gadget.
