Not a bad phone, always had sony eriscssons but thought I would go for something different. Only problem is not enough reviews out there so went in blind really. It's a good phone, the problem I had was that every number transferred into surname first and first name last! Find how to change it but it didn't work so I had to manually change every contact name! Anyway, I really should read the instructions more thoroughly but not used to doing that as have had sony's for years!
Good all round phone, the swipe across screen is not as good or sensitive as something like the i phone but am glad I got it. Recommend buying a leather case from somewhere like T Mobile as really  protects the screen, they look a bit khak but stop the phone from getting scratched and from dialling the last person called by accident!
Hope this helps!

All these fine features are useless once the battery goes and your charger is at home. Very disappointingly short battery life. I barely manage 2 days charge, and thats with me hardly using the thing.

Its too easy for the phone to unlock from your pocket and call the last person on your list by itself.

To the other reviewer - to get to a shortcut of your frequent contacts, press and hold the screen on the home page, then swipe across. a new page opens. click the plus sign to add a contact to this home page, press on the 1, 2 or 3 icon to go to different groups of contact's home pages.

Media player has pretty good sound quality and quite easy to browse.

camera has long shutter lag and needs very firm pressure to activate shutter.

wish I'd got another sony. the w995 looks nice....

I bought this phone last week and I love it, the touch screen is very sensitive and it has some greate features.

The only downside is that at the moment I seem unable to add a contact to my front homepage so that I have easy access to text or call them and knowone from T-Mobile support or LG Support can help me!  Your review states that you can do this - please tell me how?!! :)

you have got the picture wrong on this review .. the one you've got up there is the GT505 which is only available on orange but the GT 500 is much more square looking and is only available on T-mobile UK. anyway the GT 500 is a brilliant phone  overall it looks good its interface is amazing but the  only downside maybe is that it only has a 5 mega pixel camera
