LG KS500 Review – with Optical touch pad
The LG KS500 is a slide designed mobile phone finished in a sleek and gorgeous black coloured casing. Now at first glance the LG KS500 might not catch your eye but at a closer look the handset sports an Optical Touch-pad. The Optical Touch-pad will enable the user to zip through menus quickly and the user can choose to have this feature on with some of the applications and not others. By leaving the Optical Touch-pad on in the web browser really will make the whole experience a lot sweeter. The KS500 comprises a 2 inch TFT screen displaying up to 262k colours with screen resolutions of 320 x 240 pixels. The user can view the display screen in either slid open or slid closed position. The KS500 measures 102.8mm x 49.2mm x 14.9mm in size and weighs a respectable 106g. Once fully charged the LG KS500 mobile phone offers it users up to 4 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time.
LG KS500 - Internet & Connectivity
The user can enjoy surfing the internet on their LG KS500 mobile phone as the handset supports HTML WAP web browsing technologies. For speedy connections and transfer rates the 3G HSDPA, EDGE and GPRA technologies are all present and will offer a great quality of service. The LG KS500 operates on a Tri-band network and covers GSM-900/1800/1900 & HSDPA-2100 which enables the user to make full use of their mobile phone with the roaming facility function. Connecting the LG KS500 to other compatible devices is straightforward and simple as the handset supports the Bluetooth and USB technologies.

The LG KS500 features a built-in 3 mega-pixel camera with a dedicated camera key to enable the user to operate and manage the camera with ease. There is a Photo Album feature enabling the user to store all their snap shots in the one place easily. The user can also use their LG KS500 mobile phone to record video footage and the video player formats include MPEG4, H.263 and H.264. There is a video gallery section again for the user to store all their video clips they have recorded. The second camera enables the user to participate in 3G Video calling with other users with the same facility.

The LG KS500 has 100 mega-bytes of built-in internal memory with a memory card support of up to 8 gigabytes which provide a huge amount of storage space to the user for all their downloads, music, photos and much much more.

The LG KS500 supports a selection of messaging services which include SMS, MMS (multi0media messaging) and Emailing. All of which enable the user to send a quick message to others while on the go.

The user can keep fully entertained and amused with the gaming facilities presented on the LG KS500 mobile phone. The user can choose from the Embedded or Downloadable gaming options. If downloading any games please check before doing so as there may be a small cost involved for this particular service.

LG KS500 - Summary
While the LG KS500 is a sophisticated looking mobile phone it is quite basic with the features presented apart from the Optical Touch-pad that really does pack a punch with this mobile phone. Sadly it does only a feature a 3 mega-pixel unlike other high end camera features on the market to date but it is a great middle range handset which we think the pricing will be too, that offers great communication elements as well as some entertainment factors. For simplicity and no fuss the LG KS500 is a great mobile phone but if you are looking for fantastic technologies and the wow factor then maybe take a look at the LG KC910 Renoir.
