LG Prada review

Its early 2007, and the Prada phone by LG has arrived on the market, starting a new era for mobile phones. This is the first phone manufacturer that has worked in partnership with a fashion label to produce a brand new touchscreen mobile, that osses style and sex appeal. The minimalist approach complements the phones functionality rather than compromising it. The Prada with its sleek black and silver trim will be a must have accessory for all the fashion followers.
The Prada phone default menu is the trademark black and white screen but there are lots of other colours to choose from. When the Prada is on standby a clock face drifts around the screen, and can be dragged with a finger. The menu is a simple grid of message envelopes and contact book icons, with every subsequent menu using the same type of display. Surprisingly, beyond the simple menus the Prada phone contains some advanced functionality.
Music player
There is a decent MP3 player and an FM radio, though in order to get the most out the multimedia functions you'll have to beef up the pointless 8MB of internal memory with a micro SD card (2GB card will cost around £20), slot can be found under the battery cover.
Camera
It has a two-mega pixel camera as provided by Schneider - Kreuznach, in a partnership that recalls the Carl Zeiss logo on Nokia phones, and Sony's Cybershot brand on their cameraphonerange. Photos are clear and colour balance is good even under fluorescent light, although the LED (Light Emitting Diodes) light is no replacement for a flash. Videos can be recorded in up to 400 x 240 resolution, with grey, negative or sepia effects added in real-time. All data is easily transferred by MMS, Bluetooth® or cable connection. The Prada phone is a super thin 12mm and weighing just 85 grams. It is only 99mm tall but does come with a stylish Prada leather (plastic) jacket, which helps to pad it out.
Summary
The Prada phone is effortlessly stylish and surprisingly well equipped with many features of the advanced phones on the market, and has proved a hit with consumers.
