Here we have the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition. Nokia has already introduced the exciting range of GPS enabled mobile phones like Nokia N97-mini and Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition earlier this year, but these phones cannot be tagged as affordable handsets. Therefore, this mobile manufacturing company has decided to bring in the most affordable handset that is loaded with Nokia Maps and GPS. This new mobile phone from the house of Nokia is named as the Navigation Edition, the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition. This phone is developed in such a way that it will be equally effective in varied environments such as small towns, rural areas, and even urban centers. It is expected to work in developing and developed centers with equal efficiency. Adding in straight-line map reading with the support of an incorporated digital compass, the device also contains turn-by-turn driving navigation with complete voice direction. With the Navigation Edition, Nokia is expecting to bridge the gap between communication and navigation in the most affordable manner. With this mobile phone, Nokia is going to provide the broadest coverage of navigation compared with any competitor mobile phone companies. Touted as the most affordable navigation based phone from Nokia, the 2710 navigation Edition is coming with a map license for the lifetime. Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition is a simple looking handset. However, it still appears quite stylish and elegant. The design of the phone is super sleek and its slim appearance will help it to adjust easily anywhere. The phone will hit the market with three choices of shades, which are Jet Black, Warm Silver, and White Silver. All the three shades look equally stunning and simple. The overall measurement of the phone is 111.2 x 45.7 x 13.7 mm and it weighs just 87 grams. This shows that the phone is not just slim, but lightweight as well. The display of the phone is 2.2 inches TFT screen that features 256,000 colours. The resolution provided in the display is 240 x 320 pixels. Now, let's check out the design of the phone. On top of the screen, you can find the logo of Nokia. Below the screen, the major control keys and the keypad are featured.

Nokia 2710 navigation Edition will be supportive to the quad band GSM network, which is GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. It features Class 32 GPRS features and Class 10 EDGE with the speed of 236. Do not expect any WLAN or 3G support and it can be said as its drawback, but considering the other features and affordability options, it seems quite fine without Wi Fi and 3G. Data transferring is one of the key features of a mobile phone. The Navigation Edition can provide with both cable based and wireless data transferring facilities. There is an USB port with v2.0 microUSB for cable based data transfers and for wireless transfer, Bluetooth® v2.1 with A2DP is featured.

Let’s check out the entertainment features of the Nokia 2710 Navigation Edition. The device comes with a 2.0 mega pixel camera. You can share the clicked images quite instantly. The resolution of the clicked images is 1600 x 1200 pixels. Video recording is possible, but there is no secondary camera for that purpose. You can share the videos by using Ovi Share. There is a built in media player in the phone that can play different video files such as MP4, H.263, H.264. and WMV; and also a music player that plays music files such as MP3, WAV, eAAC+ and WMA.
