Nokia 3600 Slide – Intro

The Nokia 3600 Slide is a compact and very smart looking mobile phone. It comes in a choice of 2 colour options a sleek black and gorgeous burgundy red both looking attractive. The phone sports a 5-way navigation key with 2 soft keys and the display screen is a large 2.0 inch QVGA displaying a whopping 16million colours with 240 x 320 pixels making the screen really clear, bright and colourful and a joy to view. A great feature of the Nokia 3600 Slide is the background noise cancellation element for outstanding audio performance and interrupted calls. The dimensions of the smart looking Nokia 3600 Slide 97.8mm x 47.2mm x 14.5mm and weighs 97.3g making this mobile a cute and compact little phone that you could slip into any pocket with ease. The user can use up to 5.5hrs of talk time and have up to 280hrs of stand by time.

Nokia 3600 Slide – Music Player & Camera

The built in music player of the Nokia 3600 Slide supports most popular music formats which include; MP3, AAC, AAC+< e-AAC+ and WMA formats with a the added extra of a built in FM stereo radio which is great for keeping the user entertained whilst being on the move and relieving the boredom. The user can enjoy their music even more with the 10hr playback feature. The user can really personalise their Nokia 3600 Slide by selecting one the of the following ring-tone options; 64 voice tone polyphonic ring-tones, MIDI ring-tones, support of over the air downloading of ring-tones, wallpapers and themes as well as video, MP3, AAC and e-AAC+ ring-tones. The built internal memory of the Nokia 3600 Slide is of 64Mbytes but the phone has a card slot that can hold a MicroSD™ memory card with up to 4 Gbytes. A 512Mbytes memory card does come complete with sales package of the phone allowing the user more memory to store their favourite music and downloads if they so wish.

The built in integrated camera of the Nokia 3600 Slide is 3.2 mega-pixels and the same as the Nokia 6500 Slider, with auto-focus, 8x digital zoom and a double LED flash, this is a quality camera. The 3600 Slide also allows for video recording the same as a camcorder would work, allowing to record moving video footage in VGA quality. Once the user has recorded their video footage they can play it back and watch it on the large 2 inch display screen.

The Nokia 3600 Slide works on an XHTML, WAP 2.0 an Opera Mini 4 browser allowing for a superb World Wide Web browsing experience so the user can keep up to date with all the news and information whilst continually on the move. Connecting to other compatible devices is just as straightforward by using the Micro USB, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0, OMA DRM 2.0 technologies allowing for superb connections to other compatible devices. The user can also enjoy high speed data transfers with the EDGE, GPRS and HSCSD elements so the user can also enjoy secure downloading making for a fantastic downloading experience. The operation frequency of the Nokia 3600 Slide is a Quad-band and works on EGSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz this will allow the user to enjoy world roaming and the experience of using their phone wherever they want to be.

Nokia 3600 Slide – Messaging & Applications

The Nokia 3600 Slide has all the standard messaging services that we have to come to no and use well which include; SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging), emailing and predictive texting. An addition to all this is the AMS (audio messaging service) allowing the user send short recorded voice clips over the air. The emailing service supports IMAP4, POP3 and SMTP allowing the user to keep up to date with work and in touch with the work place even whilst away from the office or even the home.

The Nokia 3600 Slide comes equipped with Java MIDP 2.0 embedded games allowing the user to keep them self occupied and very much amused with this application allowing boredom to be a thing of the past. The option to download more is supported so the user can suit their individual gaming taste.

The day to day tasks of every day living can be made a little easier with the fantastic selection of applications that the user can make great use of including; Nokia Maps, Yahoo GO, Nokia search, an organiser with calendar and tasks, a phone book that can hold up to 2000 contacts to name only a few. But all will come in very useful for the user as when they are needed.

The Nokia 3600 Slide is a very cute and compact slide design phone. It has so many capabilities that any user will need and love. The camera is ok, it’s not 5 Mega-pixels, but all the same it works and does what is required of it.
