Nokia 5000 – Fun and Funky

The Nokia 5000 is a very modest looking mobile phone that is simply unfussy. The phone comes available in a choice of 3 casing colours which include black, silver and green. The Nokia 5000 comprises a nice large 2inch QVGA screen displaying 65K colours with 320 x 240 TFT pixels making any pictures and video footage bright and clear. The dimensions of the very tasteful Nokia 500 are, 106mm x 46mm x 11mm and weighs a mere 74g making the 5000 very light and comfortable to hold in the hand. The owner of the Nokia 5000 can use up to 4hrs 45mins of talk time and up to 336hrs of stand by time on one single full charge. This phone comes from the same family as the Nokia 5200.

Nokia 5000 – Music Player & Camera

The built in music player supports the popular formats including; MP3, AAC, ARM and MIDI music formats. The Nokia 5000 also features a built FM stereo radio allowing the user to not only listen to their favourite music and artists but able to listen to their favourite radio stations and DJ’s too. The 5000 also includes themes 3.0 which contain wallpapers and animated screen-savers. The built in internal memory of the Nokia 5000 is 12Mbytes but this can be increased by the use of a MicroSD memory card.

The Nokia 5000 features a 1.3 mega-pixel integrated camera with a dedicated camera key with a full screen view finder. The 5000 also has a video recording mode allowing the user to capture moving video footage and enables the user to play it back at their leisure.

The Nokia 5000 works on an XHTML web browser complete with WAP 2.0 and Opera Mini 4 allowing for a great internet browsing experience especially for those who always on the move and like to keep up with all the latest news and information. And for those who like their downloading the Nokia 5000 is complete with OMA DRM 1.0 making for secure downloads. The 5000 covers Dual band networking including EGSM 900-1800 plus GSM 850 – 1900 allowing the use to make use of the world wide roaming facility. Connecting to other compatible devices can be used using the Bluetooth technology. The user will love the data transferring capabilities by using the GPRS, EGPRS and the DARP elements making for very fast and speedy data transfers.

Nokia 5000 – Messaging & Applications

The Nokia 5000 features all the messaging services that we have all come to know and love by using our mobile phones, but as well as the SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging) and emailing services the Nokia 5000 features a great added bonus of the Xpress audio messaging service. This capability allows the user to record a short voice clip and insert it into a text and send it to other compatible users. The emailing service allows the user to not only stay in touch with the office whilst out on their travels but able to send and receive emails in POP3, IMP4, and SMTP protocols and formats. These are great additions for those who take pride in their work. The Nokia 5000 also has support for 24 polyphonic ring-tones including MP3 and AAC ring-tones.

The user can take great pleasure in the Nokia 5000 making their life so much easier with these great integrated applications which include a large phone book allowing the user to store up to 1000 contacts, advanced calculator ( Java based ), converter 11, a power organiser and local calendar and image call to show callers ID to name just a few.
