This is the latest in the line of Nokia XpressMusic phones with its slim and sleek slide design the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic phone is great for music lovers and has brilliant quality audio capabilities. There is a choice of two stunning colour combinations black and red or silver and blue, there is a large 2.4 inch TFT display with 240 x 332 pixels and 16 million colours for great screen clarity and vibrant colours. Store all your music on your 5330 XpressMusic phone on the combination of 65 megabytes of flash memory and 32 megabytes of ram memory. As we all know this amount of memory won’t allow you to store much data but this can be boosted with a MicroSD™ memory card. You can get up to a maximum of 26 hrs music playback time which is great for a music phone, you also get up to 7hrs 45mins GSM , 5hrs WCDMA talk time, 389hrs GSM or 398hrs of WCDMA standby time when the Nokia 5330 is fully charged. Dimensions of the 5330 are 101.2mm x 48.5mm x 14.05mm and weighs 113g so fits comfortably in your hand or pocket.

Obviously the enhanced S40 music player is the main feature of the Nokia 5330 and it does not disappoint. There is a huge array of music playback file formats which are supported, just a few of these are MP3, MP4, 3GP, ACC and RealAudio. Listen to your music using the built-in speakers or stereo headset and create playlists which you can then edit, synchronise and share on online sharing websites such as MySpace, Ovi and Facebook. Some other great features available to enhance your listening pleasure are the Nokia music store and as this is a ‘Comes With Music’ phone you can download millions of tracks for free. You can also tune in to national or local radio stations as the Nokia 5330 has a built-in RDS FM radio and you can customize your phone with the latest ringtones as there is support for MP3, ACC, true tones, MIDI ringing and Video ringtones.

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic – Internet & Connectivity

Use your 5330 to surf the internet for the best clubs to go to or to find music to download as the phone supports a range of web browsing technology including WAP, HTML, WML and HTTL (High Throughput Transfer & Loading). Making sure you have fast connections to internet the 5330 XpressMusic phone also supports GPRS, EDGE, CSD, HSCD and TCP/IP technology. The Nokia 5330 works on a quad-band GSM850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA900/1300/2100 networks so you can keep in touch from most worldwide destinations. If you want to connect to other compatible devices such as your PC or printer then you can use the USB cable or Bluetooth 2.1 and there is also MTP (mobile transfer protocol) support and syncML data sync.

Take photos of nights out or friends on the 5330 built-in 3.2 megapixel camera which has great features including 4x digital zoom, full screen view finder, LED flash and an active toolbar. You can also edit your photos with the photo editor feature and landscape and portrait orientation. The Nokia 5330 also has a video recorder which records in 15 fps and 9 fps (frames per second) has 5x digital zoom and has white balance and colour tone modes. Your video clip length depends on the amount of memory available and there are lots of video playback file formats including MP4, 3GPP, AVI and ASF to name a few. Other features on the 5330 XpressMusic phone include video streaming and multimedia player.

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic – Messaging & Applications

A great way to stay in touch is by sending a message and there is a good choice of messaging services on the 5330 these are SMS, EMS, MMS and Email with OMA email notification and IMAP IDLE support, and also instant messaging. There is automatic resizing of images for MMS and audio messaging as well.

There are some great application tools on the Nokia 5330 including A-GPS and pedestrian navigation so you can find the nearest shop or club or plan a journey so you don’t get lost. You also have a hands free speaker and voice dialing leaving your hands free to drive or carry on with your work and there are illumination effects so you can choose a colour to suit your mood.

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic – Summary

If you live for your music then the Nokia 5330 is for you it is a gorgeous music player and phone in one package and has all the technology and features you would want. We expect the 5330 to be released in the 3^rd quarter of 2009 and to be priced at around 160 euros a great phone to look out for.
