The Nokia 6120 Classic has that classic look. It’s chrome highlights gives it a very striking finish. The phone is available in white, black and pink. It is a slim phone with a large screen with an easy to use keypad and, a 5 way navigation key. Nokia appear to have learned several lessons and are getting back to what they do best. Making a grand phone and it doing just what you want it to do.
This is no standard Nokia phone. It’s look may be misleading but is in fact a 3G Symbian smart-phone. It is very light and compact and of the most mainstream. With respect the 6120 does out-do the Nokia N73. The first thing we notice when reviewing the phone is the screen display. The quality is remarkable it has an astonishing 16 million colours and an incredibly 240 x 320 pixels of high resolution. The camera feature is of 2 mega-pixels, so is nothing spectacular at-all. It does however support video calling. Downloading speeds are much faster than a normal 3G phone as it has HSDPA performance.
The classic does have a music player and handles most of the general formats including; MP3, M4A, eAAC+ and WMA and also a built FM radio. The audio quality is great particularly if using the Nokia stereo headset HS-47 that is supplied. The built in memory is 35Mbytes that will enable the storage of about half a dozen songs. This can be increased up to 2 Gbytes with MicroSD card which will then have the same capability of an iPop Nano.
There is one new feature/function on the Classic it’s Text to Speech. This allows the phone to read your emails and texts out aloud.
Connectivity to Bluetooth and USB is supported. As the phone is Quad-band this should enable the phone to use any network anywhere around the world. Depending on the usage of the phone the Classic may need to be charged every couple of days as the battery life is below average.
The problem we have found with the 6120 Classic is the battery life and the fonts maybe a bit on the small size. Apart from these it is a stunning Smart-phone. Overall it is a stylish and efficient phone, and we do like it!
