Nokia 6216 Classic review

Expert Rating:
- NFC Enabled
- Poor 2MP camera
The Nokia 6216 Classic is a very stylish and attractive mobile phone that comes available in a Coco Pearl coloured casing. It’s a classic candy bar design that Nokia users will have become very accustomed to. There is a 5-way navigation key to enable the user to breeze through menus and settings with ease. The 6216 handset features the NFC technology which is touch-based Near Field Communication to make life a lot easier for the user. What the NFC technology does is it enables the user to make payments and ticketing transactions as well as the convenience of sharing web-links, images and contact data all at the touch of a button. This is aimed at the consumer being able to cut down on how many cards they may have in their wallet, as the applications on the SIM card will allow for the user to make quick and easy payments via their Nokia 6216 mobile phone. We believe this to be one of the first mobile phones with this technology present as well as the Nokia 6212. This attractive handset weighs a light 88g and measures only 114.7mm x 41.7mm x 14.5mm in size making the 6216 mobile phone easy to manage, store and carry with ease. A 2 inch QVGA screen is featured on the 6216 Classic displaying up to 16.7 million colours and with screen resolutions of 320 x 240 pixels making for very bright, clear and colourful displayed images to the user. With a full charge up of the Nokia 6216 Classic battery users can expect up to 3 hours and 20 minutes of GSM talk time and up to 300 hours of GSM stand-by time. This also converts into 2 hours and 45 minutes of WCDMA talk time and up to 300 hours of WCDMA stand-by time. Users can enjoy and benefit from the built-in Nokia Operating System and Enhanced Series 40 User Interface software.
Nokia 6216 Classic – Camera & Imaging
A 2 mega-pixel camera function is featured on the 6216 Classic handset that comes complete with an 8x digital zoom, an LED Flash and with 1600 x 1200 pixel rates. A selection of scene modes are featured which include portrait, landscape and night along with a selection of colour tone modes. These include normal, grey-scale, sepia and negative. All of these modes, settings and features allow the user to take great quality photos. Ok, it is not one of the best cameras to be featured on a mobile phone, but none the less it still comes with some cracking features for the user to really make the most of their photography.
Video recording abilities are also available to the user, with the VGA video camera and a 4x digital zoom users can really get up close to their subject and capture quality footage. Video playback file formats include MP4, 3GP, MPEG4 and H.263. Users can enjoy video streaming along with video calling on their Nokia 6216 Classic handset. The video calling feature can only be used with other compatible users with the same video capabilities.
Nokia 6216 Classic – Music Entertainment
Users can enjoy a cracking built-in music player system on the Nokia 6216 Classic with supporting music file formats including AAC, eAAC, eAAC+, MP3 and WMA. There are dedicated music keys enabling the use user to control and manage their music with ease. A built-in FM Stereo with RDS technology is also featured so the user can catch up and listen to their favourite radio stations and DJ's as and when they please. A fantastic selection of ring-tones are available on the 6216 Classic enabling the user to not only look good with their mobile phone but sound good too. Video ring-tones are also a big feature on this handset broadening the user’s options. When it comes to the memory on the Nokia 6216 Classic mobile phone there is 22 mega-bytes of user memory, but users can really make the most of the hot swappable memory card slot to increase this much further providing more storage space suiting to the users requirements.

The downloadable option enables the user to download games suiting more their individual gaming taste. We always like to say that before downloading any games please check before doing so as there maybe a small cost involved for this particular service.
Now to the built-in applications on the very stylish Nokia 6216 Classic mobile phone. Nokia are renowned for their application tools and the 6216 is no exception.
