With the hot new phones like HTC Smart, Sony Ericsson Vivaz PRO, etc. already creating quite a buzz in the market, the announcement of Nokia C5 is sure to give rise to the competition aspects of these handsets. The key feature of this latest smart phone from the house of Nokia is its top-notch optimization with the social networking and sharing aspects. Combined with the newest version of Ovi Maps with drive navigation and free walk, the users of the handset can share their location with the friends on Facebook. The device gives the users with supreme power to stay connected with the ones that matter the most. The handset allows the users to access his or her favorite contacts on the home screen. The status of the favorite social network can also be seen on the display screen of the handset. It is very easy and fast to access the social networks like MySpace and Facebook. Furthermore, accessing the email accounts and instant messaging can be accessed from the email providers like Ovi mail, available through Nokia Messaging.

So far, the status of the phone is just an “announcement” by the company. The shipping of the handset is expected to begin during the quarter 2 of 2010 in selected markets that include Europe, Eurasia, China, MEA, and SEAP. It is speculated that the handset will cost around €135. The prominent features of the mobile phone include a 3.2 mega pixel camera, high end social network interactivity, high speed data connection, excellent sharing experience, 2 GB memory card (comes with the package), etc.

Nokia C5 is supportive to the quad band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and dual band 3G HSDPA 900 / 2100. Both Class 32 GPRS and EDGE provide good data accessibility to the users. High speed browsing is also provided, as the mobile phone is supportive of HSDPA with 10.2 mbps speed. WLAN is not supported in the mobile phone. Nokia C5 is powered by Li-Ion 1050 mAh (BL-5CT) battery.
