Nokia is regarded as the leading manufacturer of mobile phone in the world and it seems that they are quite serious about their reputation. That is the reason why Nokia is announcing a string of mobile phones one after the other. They have made plans to bring in new handsets under two new sub divisions such as X Series and C Series. Out of the several announcements, one device that really caught our attention is the Nokia X3, which is the member of the X Series devices from Nokia. So far, it is not known, which mobile phone or accessory will be brought in by Nokia under C Series.
Nokia X3 - Display of Nokia X3
Coming back to Nokia X3, we must say that the device is immaculately attractive. Look wise, the mobile phone is stylish, sleek and elegant. Take a look at the device and we are sure that you will love it. 2.2 inches display with 240 x 320 pixels QVGA resolution makes quite a good sense in the phone. Right on top of the display, the logo of Nokia is placed. Below the display, you will find two customary selection keys on the left corner and right corner along with the call key (green colour) and the end key (red colour). In between these four keys, there is a D pad for smooth navigation and access of the applications. On the left portion of the display, you will find three short cut keys for music playback with rewind, forward and pause/play keys. Nokia X3 is a slider device and when it is slid open; you will find the keypad with stylish metallic design. The overall dimension of the phone is 96 x 49 x 14mm and its weight is 103 grams.
The Memory of Nokia X3
Nokia X3 supports a good memory back up. The device is loaded with internal memory of 70 megabytes and expandable memory of 16 Gigabytes. Memory can be expanded by placing the memory chip in the microSD™ (TransFlash).
The Music of Nokia X3
Music is the major highlight of Nokia X3. The mobile phone features a high end music player that is capable of plying diverse selection of music files such as MP3, eAAC+ , AAC and WMA. You can load music file in the internal memory of 70 MB and if you need more memory for your music storage, you can use the expandable memory card slot that can be expanded up to 16 GB as mentioned above. Thus, you can imagine what number of music files you can load in X3. The music player is very friendly to use as it sorts out the stored music files onto play list. The player can be customised as per your preference. For example, you can select different screen or put a theme or wallpaper in the background of the music player. Music can be enjoyed by connecting the device with your headphone also as it features a 3.5mm audio output jack. Wireless headphone connectivity for listening music is also possible with a Bluetooth® headset as the device is supportive to Bluetooth® 2.1 with A2DP.
Nokia X3 Review - Compatibility with Nokia Music Manager Software
Music can be easily arranged on Nokia X3 as the device is supportive to Nokia Music Manager Software. This is immaculate software that can trace all the music files loaded in the computer and then help in transferring them in the device. The default player in the system is the Windows Media Player and this player can convert any music file to the eAAC+ file format before transferring in the device. Having eAAC+ music files is beneficial for those who have limited memory in the mobile phone. This particular type of music files is condensed and hence it does not occupy that much space in the device. So, you can load numerous music files and enjoy non-stop music.
Nokia X3 - Master for downloading
Nokia X3 is definitely a master of downloads as it is supported by the Nokia OVI store. The OVI store offers a vital record for applications, videos, games and other content that can be downloaded into the device.
The Camera of Nokia X3
Nokia X3 offers a 3.2 mega pixel camera that can click images with 2048x1536 pixels of resolution. The camera features LED flash and enhanced fixed focus that gives good quality images. Video recording is also supported at QCIF resolution at 15 fps. The quality of video shots is not bad, but don't expect them to be of superior quality after uploading the video files on Facebook or YouTube.
Nokia X3 - Web Browsing Experience
When the device is used in the landscape mode, the web browsing experience is quite good. Features like auto screen rotation increase the excellence of the web browser, but there is a limitation. Nokia X3 does not support 3G and hence slower formats like EDGE and GPRS are used for browsing web. Nowadays, even general mobile phones are coming with 3G technology and Nokia X3’s lacks in this aspect, which is quite a let down.
Nokia’s two latest handsets in the range of X Series are X3 and Nokia X6. X6 is superior in terms of features and the price as well. Nokia X3 also includes some exciting features, but it also lacks some of them. But, the major benefit that goes in favor of Nokia X3 is its price. Nokia phones is offering the device in very affordable price and those who want to access excellent music phone with other high end facilities, Nokia X3 is perfect for them.
