Nokia keeps spinning surprises and the year 2009 have witnessed many of them. The mobile phone giant has made several interesting announcement of upcoming handsets and Nokia X6 is definitely one of them. This phone will belong to the X Series range of Nokia phones and the other one is named Nokia X3. The later model is much cheaper, but still X6 hogged more limelight. X6 is definitely more interesting and attractive between the two devices in this series. It is touted that the Nokia X6 is the spiritual descendant of the well-liked 5800 XpressMusic device. The set is seriously slim with 13.8 mm of thickness and immensely attractive. The colour combination of the phone is red on black and blue on white, both makes a super cool look.

Music is the most prominent highlight of the Nokia X6. According to the manufacturer, the handset is a Comes with Music device. The handset is capable of playing up to 35 hours of non stop music. Loading huge number of music files is possible as the device is loaded with massive 32 GB memory (more on that, later). Music lovers will love such kind of memory feature as they can download or insert wide variety of music files from different artists, bands, genres, etc. The music player of the Nokia X6 is supportive to the file formats such as MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, RA, and M4A.
The appearance of Nokia X6
Look wise, the phone is hard to beat. The device is ultra slim and super sexy. The colour combination of blue on white and red on black is simply fascinating. The overall dimension of the phone is 111mm x 51mm x 13.8mm. It weights 122 grams only and hence it is quite light to hold. Moreover, the sleek design of the phone is quite handy and can be easily carried on the back pocket of your jeans. The type of display it features is quite attractive. You will get 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touch screen with 16 million colours and the resolution is 360 x 640 pixels. This is the first time that Nokia have combined a capacitive screen on a touch screen device just like samsung-i8910hd. The surface is made up of glass that is scratch resistant. Some of the other vital features of X3's display include handwriting recognition, proximity sensor for auto turn-off and accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate. Overall, the appearance of the phone is quite attractive with its beautiful chrome rim and sharp angular chassis.
The Nokia X6 is almost similar to the very popular Symbian S60 5th edition Operating System, but with certain changes. The device has revived the usage of scroll bars in the phone, RSS feeds of friends by means of the details of their contacts, larger thumbnail image in the contact menu, fast internet access, etc are some of the mild alterations that Nokia X6 brought in.

Music is the prominent highlight of the Nokia X6 a mentioned earlier. The device has an excellent music player that can play diverse types of music files. The collection of music is definitely huge as the memory capacity of the phone is massive 32 gigabytes. Gaming is another exciting aspect of this phone where the user can remain hooked to number of exciting games such as DJ Mix Tour, Asphalt 4, stand bunny, etc. Asphalt 4 is a common game that has been featured on numerous Nokia devices. Apart from these games, the user can also get different games by downloading or transferring files from compatible devices. Now, another important feature that is regarded as the basic highlight of any phone – camera. Nokia X6 is mainly a 5 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Dual LED flash, auto focus and video light features. The resolution of the snaps taken by this camera is 2592x1944 pixels. The camera also features VGA@30fps video recording.
Nokia X6 - The Memory Features
The Nokia X6 is a powerful device in terms of memory too. Though, it does not feature any slot for microSD, which means memory expanding is not possible. However, with 32 gigabytes of internal memory, it is probably not requited to add expandable memory feature. The capacity of RAM is 128 MB. The device can keep track of call records up to 30 days.
Nokia X6 - Battery
Nokia always maintain quality battery in the mobile phones and hence X6 also feature excellent battery. Standard Li-Ion 1320 mAh (BL-5J) battery is used in the phone and hence it is quite durable also. It can provide talk time up to 8 and half hours on 2G network, while on 3G, the talk time is around six hours. The standby time in 2G is 401 hours and that of 3G is 420 hours.
Nokia X6 - Price factor
Announcement about the phone was made on September 2009 and it is expected to release within the last quarter of 2009 itself. The price of the mobile phone is expected to be around four hundred pounds, which is quite expensive, but considering the features and mild alterations to the operating system and other tweaks it seems that Nokia X6 is a better choice than other devices like Samsung Omnia HD i8910 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
Nokia has brought an end to the long time speculations about its X Series phones as people can now take a look at the specifications that X6 has to offer. From the specs, it is clear that the phone is a genuine device that will witness huge demand after the release.
