Samsung is increasing its Corby family and recently it announced the arrival of its two new members. The first one is Samsung B5310 CorbyPRO and the other Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT. The former new Corby is rich in features and high on price while the later Corby is designed for the hardcore texters with affordable pricing. The basic features of CorbyTXT are similar to that of original Corby, but it sports more attractive look and excellent texting features. The device is targeted at the young generation that dotes on texting, whether it is for sms-ing, emailing, instant messaging or social networking. The device is slim and it is a QWERTY candy bar handset that is apt for the young messaging addicts. This handset has been released at the same time as the Samsung B5310 CorbyPRO.
Typing – the major highlight of the QWERTY handset
Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT is not a touch screen device like other latest Corby version. Rather, this device is much more user friendly in terms of its features and handling. CorbyTXT is a lightweight slim handset that can easily fit into the pocket of the user. The overall measurement of the phone is 112 x 59.6 x 12.9 mm and its weight is 94 grams only. The basic colour of the mobile phone is black, but there is a dash of vibrant yellow on the mid-portion keys in the handset. Typing can be done easily in this mobile phone as the keys are placed at proper gaps to provide the user with easy and fast typing experience. Both look-wise and feature wise the mobile phone is perfect for those who desperately seeks entrance in the world of QWERTY keyboard handset.
Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT Review - Display
As mentioned above, Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT looks really attractive. This QWERTY handset features the keyboard at the lower half of the phone while the screen is on the upper portion. The screen is a TFT screen that displays 256,000 colours. The size of the screen is 2.2 inches and it provides resolution of 176 pixels x 144 pixels, which is quite good.

Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT offers several types of alerts with polyphonic ring tones, MP3 ring tones, vibration, etc. Speakerphone option is present in the device along with 3.5 mm audio jack.
Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT Review - Memory
It is a known fact that memory is one of the most important factors of mobile handsets. To store and play the diverse varieties of games, songs, videos, etc, good back up of memory is definitely required. The Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT thus features a moderate memory back up. The device comes with 40 megabytes of internal memory and 8 gigabytes of expandable memory. To expand the memory, microSD™ (TransFlash) can be used in the device. The lightweight and slim Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT is becoming popular and people are gradually taking keen interest on the handset.
Samsung B5310 CorbyTXT - Battery
Battery of the mobile phone is another basic and important aspect. The device gets the power back up from 800 mAh Li-Ion battery and it is capable enough to keep the handset active for hours, without getting charged. One exciting feature of the mobile phone is Fashion Jacket. Using these Fashion Jackets, the users can change the battery covers of the handset.

Entertainment options galore in the handset as the users can listen to music in the integrated music player. The music player can play different music files such as MP3, AAC and WMA. FM music is also supported in the device as it features FM Radio with RDS.
Samsung B5310 CorbyTXT – Connectivity
The mobile phone is suitable for transferring data easily. The mobile phone can be connected with another device such as computer or cam corder for exchanging files. This connection can be established in both with-wire and wireless ways. If the users opt for with-wire connectivity, then USB 2.0 will be used while Bluetooth® connectivity option will brace the wireless connectivity options. There is no 3G or Wi Fi here and hence the user of the Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT cannot expect high speed connectivity like the CorbyPRO.
Samsung B5310 CorbyTXT – Camera
The handset is targeted at the youth and hence proper camera integration is expected from Samsung, but this area of the phone is a bit let down. The phone features just a two mega pixel camera with fixed focus. Video recording can be done with the camera, but the quality of video is not that impressive.
As the name suggests, Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT mainly focuses on the importance of messaging. ‘TXT’ in the name of the phone stands of text and this QWERTY keyboard handset excels in that section. The device is supported by quad band GSM network 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and there is no 3G. The price of the phone is not yet known, but it is definitely affordable as it is targeted mainly to attract the youth.
