The Samsung F110 miCoach is a fashionable slide design mobile phone. It is a mobile phone and a portable sports coach all in one device. The miCoach is also known as the Adidas miCoach and is a sports orientated phone. The casing colour of the miCoach is in the Adidas black and white colours with asymmetrical detailing that features a rugged metallic navigation key. The phone comprises a TFT screen displaying 262K colours making the screen very clear, bright and colourful with 176 x 220 pixels. The dimensions of the Adidas miCoach are 101.5mm x 45mm x 14.5mm and weighs a very light 80g not only making this phone practical for its sporting uses but making it a tremendous phone to hold in the palm of the hand when making and receiving calls. The user can use up to 2.5hrs of talk time and have up to 250hrs of stand by time on a single full charge.

Now, to the fun and technical side of the sports Adidas miCoach. The Samsung miCoach is not only a mobile phone but a superb piece of health equipment. For one, the miCoach can be used as a heart rate monitor which fits comfortably around the chest and relays all the information back to the phone. The stride sensor works in a similar way. First the user has to place the small chip to their shoelaces then it will calculate the user’s strides, distance covered and the speed then information is relayed back to the miCoach handset. With all that exercise he user wouldn’t be expected to hold their Samsung in their hand, Samsung have provided an armband allowing the user to attach the phone to their arm. This is a fantastic idea and allows the user to still gain access to the phone and listen to their music if they so wish. The Samsung F110 miCoach features a built in music player that supports all the most popular music formats which include; AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+, MIDI, MP3 and WMA music formats with OMA and DRM . The phone also features a built FM stereo FM radio allowing the user to listen to their favourite artists and radio stations while on the move where ever you may be. The built in internal memory of the Samsung miCoach is of 1Gbyte allowing a fantastic amount of storage space for all the users music files and downloads.

The built in integrated of the Samsung F110 miCoach is only 2 mega-pixels, ok its not one of the best cameras available on the market but none the less it still has some cracking features which include auto focus, an optical zoom and brightness settings. The Shot Mode function will enable the user to take pictures in normal shot, multi shot, timer shot, mosaic shot, night mode, capture only and panorama shots. The user can set the picture quality settings to fine, super fine and normal allowing the capability of taking a superb quality photograph.

The video recording capabilities are of great quality also. The user can record moving video footage at their own leisure and play it back to see what they have just recorded. The video recording formats are of MPEG4 and H.263 and the video player formats are of MPEG4 and H.263 also making for good quality video footage.

The Samsung F110 miCoach works on an XHTML and WAP 2.0 web browser which makes for a fantastic internet browsing experience allowing the user to keep up to date and in touch with all the latest news, gossip and general information whilst being on the go. Connecting to other compatible devices is so straightforward it can be done with ease by using the USB, GPRS, and Bluetooth technologies making for fast and speedy connections. The miCoach works on a dual band networking capability which include GSM 900 – 1800 allowing the user to take advantage of the roaming facility. The EDGE capability will for fast and speedy transfers and the user can have peace of mind with secure downloading also.

The Samsung F110 miCoach has the usual messaging services that we have all come accustomed to and love using such as; SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging), predictive text T9 and emailing. The emailing service will allow those who need to keep in touch with the work place while away from home and the office and sends and receives emails in POP3 file format.

The Samsung miCoach also features embedded Java games allowing the user to keep boredom at bay and can play games where ever they may be. The user also has the choice to download more Java games suiting to their individual gaming taste.

The user can make full use of all the applications that are built into the Samsung miCoach allowing the user to make those day-today tasks a little more easier to handle, for example; a calendar, to do list, world time clock, converter, memo book and a calculator these are to name just a few but all will help for any dilemma that may appear.

The Samsung F110 Adidas miCoach is really aimed for those who like to keep fit and healthy on a regular basis, but can still keep in touch with the outside world whilst on a workout and keep them self entertained in the process.
