Samsung F700 - touch screen multimedia champion
The Samsung F700 is a stylish looking mobile phone, it comes in sleek black with a metal effect designed edging. The F700 is a slide design mobile phone with a slight difference as it features a side positioned slide mechanism. The Samsung F700 comprises a fantastic full touch screen with a QWERTY keypad and touchpad interaction providing the user with enhanced access to mobile emailing and text messaging services. Other touch screen mobile phones that are similar in design to the F700 are the Apple iPhone and the LG Prada. The new user interface that is featured on the Samsung F700 won the iF communication award of 2007. The F700 presents a huge 3.2 inch TFT display touch screen displaying 262K colours with 440 x 240 pixels making for superb viewing. The dimensions of the Samsung F700 are 112mm x 56mm x 15.9mm and weighs 139g, its quite heavy but for the design its acceptable. The user can really make the most of the F700 once fully charged as it offers the user up to 4.5 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of stand-by time.
Music Player & Camera
The built-in music player of the Samsung F700 supports most of the popular music formats which include; AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+, MIDI, MP3 and WMA formats with OMA DRM 2.0 keeping you fully amused. The F700 offers a selection of ring-tones including; 3D ring-tones, 72 polyphonic ring-tones and MP3 ring-tones giving the user some great options in how they want their handset to sound. The Samsung F700 comes with 100Megabytes of internal memory plus supports MicroSD™ memory cards, providing masses of storage space for music files and downloads.
The Samsung F700 features a 3 mega-pixel integrated camera with 3x digital zoom offering 6x brightness. There is a an array of shot mode functions including; Timer shot, Self shot and Multi shot with addition of photo effects which consist of Black & White, None, Negative and Sephia. Using these tools can make a photo look really special.
The F700 presents video recording capabilities in the same way a camcorder would. The user can record moving video footage in 3GPP, H.263, MPEG4 formats. One you have recorded your "you’ve been framed" special it can be instantly played back and watched on the 3.2 inch TFT screen. The video player is able to play 3GPP, H.263, H.264, MPEG4, WMV formats. The user can also enjoy the video calling facility making for a great personal calling experience. However, this will only work with other compatible handsets.

The Samsung F700 works on a HTML and WAP 2.0 web browser providing the user with a fantastic World Wide Web internet experience. Keeping up to date with all the latest news and information whilst travelling is made easy with the F700. The user can enjoy great connections with other compatible devices by using Bluetooth®, USB and EDGE technologies. The F700 works on a Tri-band network covering GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz allowing the user to make the most of the roaming technology.
Samsung F700 – Messaging & Applications
The Samsung F700 has all the usual test messaging services that we all know no and love which include SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging) and Emailing with the inclusion of the EMS service (enhanced messaging). Ever received an annoying text message from your network provider offering free minutes etc? Well that would be an enhanced message with their logo and flashing banner. The Email service allows the user to access their emails whilst away from the office and IMAP4, POP3 and SMTP attachment files are available. If you prefer you can use your own email software, google mail provides a download for mobile devices.
The Samsung F700 comes equipped with embedded Java MIDP 2.0 games so the user can stay amused any time any place, great for a journey! The user does have the choice to download more games to suit more to their own gaming taste if they wish, but there may be an extra charge, so do check before downloading.
