Samsung L870 – Slide with safari browser
The Samsung L870 is a stunning looking slide design mobile phone. The handset comes in a sophisticated brushed metal and black coloured casing making it a real little stunner. The L870 comprises a very large 2.4 inch TFT screen displaying 16 million colours with 240 x 320 pixels making for a superb bright, colourful and clear display screen. The Samsung L870 is very similar in design to the Samsung U900 Soul. The dimensions of the Samsung L870 are 103.5mm x 50.5mm x 13.5mm making the L870 neatly compact and easy to hold at all times or to slip into any pocket with comfort. The Samsung L870 is a Symbian based phone and works on a Symbian 9.3 Operating System S60 with built in high speed technologies. The L870 is also built with business requirements in mind.
Samsung L870 – Music Player & Camera
The Samsung L870 built in music player features most popular music formats which include; MP3, AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+ and WMA formats. The L870 also features a built FM stereo radio with RDS allowing the user to listen to their favourite music or radio stations whilst being on the move. There is a music library feature so user can store and categorise their music in which ever order is suitable to them. The user can really customise their Samsung L870 with having a funky ring-tone from the selection available. The ring-tone options are polyphonic ring-tones and MP3 tones. The built in internal memory of the Samsung L870 is 100 Mbytes but there is the option to expand the memory with memory card slot option. By increasing the memory it will allow the user more storage space for their music files and downloads.
The integrated camera of the Samsung L870 is 3.15 mega-pixels ok it’s not a 5 meg-pixel like the Samsung F480 Tocco and the Samsung F490 but it is still a great camera. It comes with a selection of camera setting and photo editing options allowing the user to make the most of their photo’s they have taken.
The user can also use their Samsung L870 like a video camcorder, recording moving video footage. Once the user has recorded a video clip they can play it back instantly and view their footage on the very large and colourful 2.4 inch display screen. The video player also comes with a selection of video options so the user can really make the most of their images. The video player plays in MPEG4, WMA and 3GP video formats. So taking photos and recording home footage can always be at hand instantly with the Samsung L870.
Samsung L870 – Internet & Connectivity
The Samsung L870 works on a WAP 2.0 and Safari browser providing the user a great World Wide Web internet experience allowing the user to keep up to date in touch with all the latest news and information. The user can enjoy fast and speedy data transfers by using the EDGE technologies and GPRS transfers. Connecting to other compatible devices is just as straightforward as the L870 uses Bluetooth® A2DP and USB technologies making for superb connections. The Samsung L870 works on a Tri band network which covers GSM 900/1800/1900 and HSDPA 2100 allowing the user to access the roaming facility depending on the user network provider.
Samsung L870 – Messaging & Applications
The Samsung L870 features all the standard messaging services that we have come to know and use well these include; SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging), emailing and predictive texting. The emailing facility will allow the user to keep on top of their workload even while away from the home or office.
The L870 comes equipped with embedded Java games so the user can keep them self amused and very much occupied where ever they may be, so boredom can be a thing of the past.
The Samsung L870 comes with a fantastic selection of applications that can and will help the user with every day tasks that may arise to make life less complex a few examples are; an Office Document Viewer, Business Card Recognition, Organiser, Calculator and an alarm to name just a few of what the Samsung L870 offers its consumers.
The Samsung L870 is a very stunning looking mobile phone with a smooth slide design mechanism. It is actually very sophisticated and will make any owner of this mobile look sleek and very trendy. This mobile phone does offer its customers lots of fantastic features and functions that user would find a joy to own and use. The only gripe we have is that it does not feature a 5 mega-pixel camera. Other than that we really like this phone.
