Popular online retailer Expansys published the specifications of a super attractive device known as Sony Ericsson Rachael, only a short while ago. Expansys yet again published the pictures and specifications of another handset by Sony Ericsson that is not announced yet, called Xperia X3. This unique strategy of marketing has got good results as people are very curious about Sony Ericsson Xperia X3. It seems that the information featured over there is straight from the house of the manufacturer. Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 is codenamed as Rachael and its previous appearance on the web was in black and white. Now, more specifications have come and it seems that Xperia X3 will be running Android Operating System but the proprietary 3D panel UI that was present in the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 version of Xperia, will be present here too. Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 – The Design
What it seems from the appearance, Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 is a stunning model with glittering black body. Almost the entire frontal portion of the phone is touch screen display, which is quite big and hence perfect for enjoying multimedia features, internet or business works. At the top of the front side of the phone, there is a logo of Sony Ericsson and at the bottom of the screen Xperia is written. At the back of the phone also you will find the logo of Sony Ericsson and Xperia along with trademark symbol of Sony Ericsson and the camera lens.
Sony Ericsson Rachael – The Display
The display feature of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 mobile phone comes with big 4 inch screen. This is definitely a touch screen display with a resolution of 852 pixels x 480 pixels. Earlier Expansys stated that the display resolution will be 800 pixels x 400 pixels. But, considering the aspect of screen ratio, it seems that 852 pixels x 480 pixels are more perfect. However, it is still not clear whether Xperia X3 will come with 800 pixels x 400 pixels or 852 pixels x 480 pixels resolution. The entire 4 inch screen is touch sensitive and it seems that the screen will be quite smooth.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Review – The Messaging
Messaging is an integral part of the mobile devices. Whether it is a normal phone or a smart phone, messaging must be present. However, the type of messaging services differs according to the variety of phone. In a smart phone like Sony Ericsson Xperia X3, the messaging feature must be loaded with simple Short Messaging Services, Multimedia Messaging Services and high end email features. Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 provides these entire aspects. In fact, Xperia X3 supports POP3, IMAP4, SMTP, and MS Exchange emailing varieties for the users. The users can also send and receive multi media messages loaded with high end images, videos or music files.
Sony Ericsson Rachael Review– The Memory
The memory specifications are not known clearly, but it will obviously feature enough phone memory to load the phone book, received calls, dialed calls, missed calls, SMSes, etc. Expandable memory option is definitely there. All we know is the presence of external microSDHC slot in Sony Ericsson Xperia X3.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 – The Connectivity
Sony Ericsson Rachael will be quite standard in terms of connectivity. The users can establish connection via miniUSB and 3.5mm AV connector. Even wireless connectivity is also possible as the device features Bluetooth® (2.1). The presence of Wi Fi (IEEE 802.11g) makes connectivity a splendid feature in Sony Ericsson Xperia X3.
Sony Ericsson Rachael – The Network
Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 will support both 2G and 3G network. In case of 2G, the device will support quad band network of 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 while in 3G, it will support dual band of 900 and 2100. The speed will be 10 megabyte per second HSDPA and 2 megabyte per second HSUPA.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Multimedia Features – The Camera
This is probably the major highlight of Sony Ericsson Rachael. The device is equipped with superb 8 mega pixel auto focus camera. The prominent highlights of the camera are 8x digital zoom, which ensures superior clarity of the zoomed snaps. LED flash as well as auto focus ensure high quality photography, even in the poor light conditions. So, the users are not required to worry about taking snaps in a less light room. Other immaculate highlights of the camera are image stabilization and smile shutter. The clicked snap can be perfectly stabilized and smile shutter will click whenever smile is detected, if the camera is on. This is not all; the camera of Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 also comes with face detection features. With all these features, the camera can also record VGA videos. The video player is capable of playing video files of distinct video formats. Hence, the camera of the device is fully loaded.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Multimedia Features – The Music
Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 comes with built in music player. This music player is expected to be simple to use and manage. The music files can be traced according to the name of the song, album, artist or genre. As no proper information is available on the equalizer, we have to wait and watch what the sound control feature would be like. The music player is capable of playing music files based on MP3, AAC and eAAC+ formats. Music can be enjoyed with wireless stereo Bluetooth® also.
The device can support various forms of ring tones also. It can load monophonic, polyphonic (64), AAC and MP3.
