The Sony Ericsson W995 is an elegant and stylish slider Walkman mobile phone that comes available in three different coloured options. These include silver, black and a very stylish red colour. The W995 comes fully equipped with high quality features and functions including imaging, communications and connectivity as well the high quality music technologies which are the main focus of this very stylish mobile phone. As the W995 is a Walkman mobile phone users can really enjoy their music wherever they are as a portable music device as well a communications piece of equipment. This sleek handset is a great size and is easy to carry and store as it only measures 97mm x 49mm x 15mm in size and weighs a very respectable 113g. Once the SE W995 has been fully charged the user can expect up to 9 hours of GSM talk time and up to 370 hours of GSM stand-by time. This converts into 4 hours of 3G talk time and up to 360 hours of 3G stand-by time or 3.5 hours of video calling time. This will all depend on the actual usage of the handset. A 2.6 inch TFT screen is featured on the W995 with up 262k colours and screen resolutions of 240 x 320 pixels making for clear and colourful displayed images to the user.
Sony Ericsson W995 Review – Music Entertainment
As the SE W995 is a Walkman based mobile phone users can be kept fully entertained at any time with this feature and enjoy the fantastic music technologies that have been packed into this very stylish and up beat piece of equipment. Users can really enjoy their music with a great quality of sound with the help of the Clear Bass and Clear Stereo features. The user can listen to their favourite tunes via the handsets stereo speaker or via the Bluetooth® Stereo headset with A2DP technology for a more private listening experience. A built-in FM Radio with RDS technology is featured on the W995 enabling the user to catch up and listen to their favourite radio stations and DJ's and can all radio information visually on the colourful 2.6 inch display screen. Other features include TrackID, PlayNow, SensMe and Shake Control. The Shake Control feature is fantastic it allows the user to change the track their listening to with a shake of the handset one way and by shaking the phone the other way enables the user to control the volume of the music. A selection of MP3, polyphonic and AAC ring-tones are available on the W995 mobile phone allowing the user to make a real statement in how their mobile phone sounds. Of course there is the Album Art Display feature for the user to enjoy viewing album art covers on the TFT colour screen. There is only 118 mega-bytes of user memory on the W995 mobile phone but this is supported by Micro M2 memory. This will provide the user with much more storage space for all the users music files, photo's, videos and downloads without the worry of running out of space.
Sony Ericsson W995 Review – Camera & Imaging
Sony are known for providing great camera features on their mobile phones and the SE W995 is no exception. There is a fantastic 8.1 mega-pixel camera function with a 16x digital and a whole host of settings and features. Yes we did 8.1 making this one of the top cameras available on a mobile phone except for the SE Idou which is of 12.1 mega-pixels. Auto-focus, photo flash, face detection, an image stabiliser, photo fix, geo-tagging and picture blogging are featured on the W995 making the process of capturing photo's not only fun but simple and easy too. These features also enables the user to share their captured snap shots with friends and family with ease.
Users can record their own video footage on the W995 with high quality imaging features and functions. A video light is present to brighten those dull and darker surroundings, a video stabiliser making for steadier and less shaken video shots. Video Clip and Video Streaming are also available on the W995 along with Video Calling, but this is only possible with other compatible users with the same video capabilities. Picture wallpapers and Animated wallpapers are built-in for the user to change the look of their W995 mobile phone if they so wish.
Sony Ericsson W995 – Internet & Connectivity
Connecting to the internet via the SE W995 is not only fun and entertaining but quick and easy to. This is due to the built-in Access NetFront, WAP and Web Feeds web browsing technologies. The 3G HSDPA, EDGE and WI-FI® technologies are all present providing wireless connections, speedy transfer rates and most importantly a great quality of service to the user. The SE W995 operates on a Quad-band network which covers GSM – 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS – 2100 providing the user with the full benefits of using their mobile phone whilst abroad. Connecting to other compatible devices is also a straight-forward and simple process with the available Bluetooth® and USB technologies.
Sony Ericsson W995 – Messaging Services
There is a great selection messaging services available on the SE W995 mobile phone making communications more fun and much quicker. Users can enjoy using SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging), Instant Messaging, Exchange ActiveSync and Emailing. The predictive text input technology is present if the user chooses to have this feature on the text messaging service, as it enables the user to type out texts in much quicker time making the whole process much more easier.

The SE W995 really is packed full of entertainment and the gaming section of this very stylish and sleek mobile phone comes with a great selection of games. These include Java, 3D and Motion gaming to take the games experience to a whole new level.
Application tools are fantastic technologies to be featured on mobile phones they are there to assist in daily tasks or to help us out of a sticky spot. The SE W995 has brilliant range of applications not only the user can enjoy but can greatly benefit from using. Some of these fantastic tools include a Wayfinder Navigator, Google Maps, A GPS Navigation, Walk Mate, Auto Rotate, Flight Mode, Tasks, an Alarm Clock and a Calculator to name a few of the many applications available.

Well what a marvelous piece of equipment we have in the SE W995 mobile phone. It offers style, entertainment, it is very user friendly but overall a fantastic all rounder. Not only does it feature all the mod cons of today but navigation tools and maps to make finding your chosen destination simple and easy. We love the 8.1 mega-pixel camera feature and the selection of imaging features and technologies, but most of all the music qualities as the W995 is a music based Walkman mobile phone. Well done Sony for providing a stylish and elegant mobile phone that will keep its user entertained endlessly.

Okay, but seen betterHave had this phone for a couple of weeks now after swapping it from the terrible Nokia N86. Have had many Sony Ericsson phones and i have to say this one is great. So far i have had no problems with it, it can be a bit slow at times when scrolling through the phone book and certain applications however, this is to be expected due to the amount of things this had set does. Music player great, camera great!

AverageLoved the the phone the camera and the music features are brilliant but 2 weeks from purchase i had turned it on and off for work and it would not work so i tried taking the battery, sim card out and turned it back on but still would not work. I tried charging it and it told me to put in a sony erricsson battery which was already in!!!

Hi Guys, i purchased this phone last night so havent really had much time to have a play with it.
Have been incredably impressed so far. I love Sony Ericssons and have just come back to them after a terrible experience with Samsung.
Camera is fantastic, speakers for your tunes are fantastic and the internet on the phone is speedy and easy to use.
all of the menus are self explanitory aswel. there is nothing that i would change to be honest. oh well maybe just the price. I have a month to month rolling contract so have had to pay full pay &go price for the phone which came to aprox £340 but to be honest any Sony Ericsson is worth every single penny and this is definatly another triumph!!!
