Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is a remarkable looking 3G Smartphone which uses Windows Mobile operating system. The handset comprises a massive 3 inch TFT screen and displays up to 65K colours with a staggering 800 x 480 screen resolutions, one of the highest resolutions to date! The XPERIA X1 comes in a choice of two coloured casings which are solid black and steel silver, both of which look amazing. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 has a real solid feel to it due to its stocky 145g weight. It’s not a light-weight phone but this is due to the style and design of the phone. The dimensions of this very attractive handset are 110mm x 53mm x 17mm which is a fairly condensed size considering all that it is capable of doing. Other Smartphone competitors on the market with high technologies and capabilities are the Nokia E90 Communicator and the Apple iPhone. The user can expect to benefit from up to 6.5 hours of talk time and have up to 833 hours of stand by time one single full charge.
The user can access the fabulous QWERTY keyboard by pushing the screen upwards when in its widescreen position. The XPERIA X1 comes with four navigational options which include; touch-screen controls, optical joystick controls, a 4-way control key and sliding out the QWERTY keyboard. The XPERIA X1 comes with a highly useable panel interface enabling the user to set the displayed panels on the screen allowing the user to simply select their chosen panel on the touch screen to access their many applications available such as the camera or even the web.
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 – Internet & Connectivity
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is a 3G HSDPA Smartphone which provides the user with high speed internet capabilities and allows the user to experience all the latest and fastest technologies which include; WLAN WI-FI, EDGE and HSUPA. For super speedy data transfers the built in EDGE technology is used for this making the XPERIA X1 a real joy to use. The HSUPA technology will provide speedy upload speeds of up to 5.7 mega-bytes per second with the WI-FI tool enables the user to access the World Wide Web wirelessly by using the high speed hotspot connection. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 works on a Quad-band network and covers GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS allowing the user to enjoy a world wide roaming experience. Connecting to other compatible devices is simple as the built in technologies provided to this are Bluetooth® and USB technologies. The user can really enjoy surfing the web for all the latest news, gossip and information with ease as the technology provided to do is a built internet Explorer Mobile Web browser making for a superb mobile internet experience. There is a built-in GPS navigation system provided so being lost will hopefully be a thing of the past.
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 – Music Player & Camera
The XPERIA X1 comes with a built-in music player that supports popular music formats and with a Bluetooth® Stereo with A2DP. The user can also enjoy the mobility of listening to their favourite radio stations and DJ’s with the built-in FM stereo radio with RDS. The user can really make the most of the added features and functions like the PlayNow™ tool making for a superb mobile music experience. The user can really personalise and customise their XPERIA X1 with their ring-tone, the choice of ring-tones available to the user are Polyphonic ring-tones and Music tones. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 comes with 400 mega-bytes of internal memory and has support to add a MicroSD™ memory card to increase this memory thus providing even more storage space for all their music files and downloads.
The built in 3.2 mega-pixel camera on the XPERIA X1 comes with an array of features and function tools some of which include; 3x digital zoom, auto-focus and photo light all of which provides the user with being able to take a superb photograph.
The user can also use their XPERIA X1 to record moving video footage in the same way a camcorder works. This facility allows the user to record their video footage and watch it back instantly on the very large and colourful 3 inch display screen. The user can also enjoy video streaming and the video clip element along with 3G video calling and picture wallpapers all making for a fantastic, always at hand mobile digital camera and video recorder.
Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 – Messaging & Applications
The XPERIA X1 comes with all the usual messaging services that we have become very accustomed to these days which include; SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging) and emailing but now with the addition of Predictive text, SMS long and Exchange ActiveSync. The email service does provide the user with attachment files so keeping on top of the work load even while away from the office will never be a problem.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 comes with embedded Java and 3D games which are there to provide the user with amusement and entertainment while on those dull and boring train journeys. The option to download more games is available to the user so they can play games suiting more to their own individual gaming taste.
