The Sony Ericsson Z780i is a very stylish flip designed mobile phone that comes in a choice of two colours, Amethyst silver and grand onyx. The Sony Ericsson Z780i comes from the Sony Ericsson Z range, other members of this family of mobile phones include the SE Z710i and SE Z750i. The handset comprises a monochrome external screen that appears on the front of the handset and allows the user to view imperative information without opening the handset. The internal screen of the Z780i is a reasonable 2.2 inch TFT screen which is very clear and bright and displays up to 262K colours with 320 x 240 pixels. The very funky keypad is located on the base of the Z780i handset and has a smooth finish with each key being well spaced. They are well defined with coloured outline around each of keys. The dimensions of the durable Sony Ericsson Z780i are, 95mm x 48mm x 17mm and weighs a trim 96g making for a comfortable fit in the palm of the hand or a jeans pocket. On a single full charge the user should expect up to a considerable 9.5 hours of talk time and up to 350 hours of stand by time.
Sony Ericsson Z780i – Music Player & Camera
The built in music/media player of the Sony Ericsson Z780i features popular music formats and comes with Bluetooth® stereo A2DP support making for a great wireless music experience. The user can really enjoy the selection of music features that is on offer which includes a Mega-Bass frequency feature, a TrackID music recognition feature and a PlayNow™ quick music download feature complete with RDS which will allow the user to tune into and listen to their favourite radio stations and DJ’s. The user can really personalise and customise their Z780i by choosing which ring-tone they have. The Sony Ericsson Z780i comes with a selection of ring-tones which consist of polyphonic ring-tones and a variety of tones including MP3 and AAC music tones. The Sony Ericsson Z780i comes with 35 megabytes of internal memory and has the support if the user wishes to add a MicroSD™ memory card providing more storage space for the users music files and downloads.
The Sony Ericsson Z780i has an integrated 2 mega-pixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom and complete with picture editing features. The user can have great fun sharing their photos via a picture blog or an MMS (multi-media message). The user can also record moving video in the same way they would a camcorder. Once the user has recorded their video footage they can play it back instantly on the colourful 2.2 inch display screen or just simply save and store it. Connecting the Sony Ericsson Z780i to other compatible devices is so straight forward as it uses the Bluetooth® and USB technologies to do so. The Z780i has 3G capabilities and comes with a GPS system which allows the user to get directions and view maps on their phone with the assistance of the global positioning system(satellites). The Z780i works on a Quad-band network which covers GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS providing the user with the world wide roaming facility. The user can also benefit from high speed internet connections and really enjoy surfing the web with the built Access NetFront web browser allowing them to keep up to date with all the latest news and information.

The Sony Ericsson Z780i has all the usual messaging services that we come to expect from a mobile phone these days which include; SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging) and emailing. The Z780i has the additions of Exchange ActiveSync, Instant messaging, Predictive text and a Sound recorder. The emailing service provides file attachments so keeping on top of the work load even while away from the office is no problem at all.
The Sony Ericsson Z780i comes equipped with embedded Java and 3D games allowing the user keep amused and occupied for those dull and boring train journeys. The user does have the option to download more games if they so wish, suiting more to their own individual gaming taste. Please do check before doing this as there may be a cost involved.
