The latest high-end smart phone announced this month is HTC Desire HD. The release date of the device is expected to take place by October 2010. If HTC Desire has won several laurels then its successor, HD2 is definitely going to win more hearts. Moreover, the handset comes loaded with overhauled Sense UI and brings on more latest features. However, we expected somewhat better display screen features with its sharp packing of WVGA resolution; may be in the lines of iPhone 4G or Galaxy Tab, but we are slightly disappointed here. However, there are lots of other features and applications that still make Desire HD one of the hottest products of HTC. The best part of the phone is that it is extremely pocketable because of its slim dimensions at 123 x 68 x 11.8 mm. HTC Desire HD runs on the latest version of Android™ (Froyo), which ensures that the users are going to enjoy smoother and faster experienced of mobile telephony.
HTC Desire HD – Internet and Interface
The interface of the latest Desire is quite friendly. However, those who love the interface of the original Desire, will miss that impact because the new device has made certain tweaks. You can open the notification bar by pulling down the screen’s top portion and then navigate through the applications that are open or most-used so that you can access the vital things easily. The menu system that uses 1GHz Qualcomm processor is excellent as always and you can easily and swiftly use different menus. You can take the advantage of a new feature called Car Dock that can help you to use the phone as a navigator. It comes with pre-cache maps of popular cities of the world.
In terms of the Internet usability, HTC Desire HD is simply awesome. While browsing a text of as site over the phone, you can zoom in. No matter how much you zoom, the text gets resized accordingly to provide a clearer view. High speed the Internet is supported by this mobile phone as it is powered by HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps and Wi-Fi® 802.11 b/g/n. Desire HD supports HTML browser and you can easily use the Internet based applications such as Push Email, instant messaging, YouTube™, Google applications, and social networks.

HTC Desire HD – the Display
The display features of the mobile phone are definitely among the best, but if you expect something better than Galaxy S or iPhone4, then you might be a bit disappointed. In fact , the display is the biggest highlight of the handset as the large screen will definitely catch the attention. The gigantic size of the display is 4.3 inches and it is an S-LCD capacitive touch screen that boasts 16 million colours and a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Other prominent highlights of the display includes proximity sensor for auto turn off, accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate, touch sensitive control panel, multi touch input method, and of course HTC Sense UI.
HTC Desire HD – the Memory
Desire HD is a high-end smart phone and hence it comes with lots of features and applications. To smoothly run these applications, it is essential that the phone comes with a decent memory back up. The storage capacity of the handset does not disappoint as it can support up to whopping 32 GB storage capacity. However, this is expandable memory where you have to use microSD™ card to increase the memory support. The internal memory capacity of the mobile phone is 1.5 GB, which itself is quite impressive. The internal memory can easily store innumerous entries of phone book and call records.
HTC Desire HD – The Camera
One of the biggest highlights of the mobile phones is a camera. There are many users who purchase the handsets just for the sake of clicking snaps on the go. If you are also one of them, then HTC Desire HD is a dream device for you. The handset comes with a top class 8 mega pixel camera with high-end features such as auto focus, face detection, dual-LED flash, face detection and geo tagging. The resolution of the images clicked with this camera is 3264 x 2448 pixels. The camera can also record high quality videos at 720p, which really boost up the multimedia functionalities of the phone. With such high-end camera and video features along with excellent Internet connectivity, you can upload your favorite snaps or AVs to your favorite social network and share with friends.

The Desire HD is a fab looking phone but I am having serious issues with the battery life, I have to have it on charge all the time, luckily I work in an office to I just keep it connected to a USB cable but it's really frustrating. The battery cover is also made of bad quality plastic, I am sure it will break long before my contract is due up. Apart from that moan I do like the HTC Desire HD it does have great points including camera, apps, HTC Sense the list goes on so i'm not unhappy with my Desire HD just think it needs improving.

I am really pleased with my HTC Desire HD, I have had it for just over a month and my friends are all really jealous. The internet speed is fantastic and I am really impressed the the amount of fantastic apps available for it. The Desire HD camera is fab, I have taken some great snaps with it and soooo happy with the quality. Many of my friends have the iPhone 4 and have all experienced the connection issue although it is sorted now they all wish they had chosen the Desire HD as Android is a much better Operating system. I will stick with Android operated phones from now on.

I have had my HTC Desire HD for 2 weeks now and I think it's a great phone and I think the Andriod OS is by far the best, I previously had the Apple iPhone 3 and thought that was the bees knees but I had heard great things about HTC so thought I would give it a go.. The screen quality is fantastic and the HTC Sense means I can keep up to date with my friends on facebook. I have only one issue and thats the battery life, I have to charge everyday but apart from that small issue I think I will stick to HTC phones from now on.
