Rating: 2 out of 5.simon wicker rated the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile phone 2 stars  Okay, but seen better

I have had this phone since March 2009 snd it had never let me down until a few weeks ago when the touchscreen stopped responding and the display turned into a mass of colours. However, Nokia repaired it very quickly and no problems since.

The bluetooth seems to work rather quickly and the wifi is seemingly good. The internet id relstivelyok, but as others have said it can be rather slow at times and stop responding (but do can my HP laptop).

The music, videoplayback is excellent and its camera takes amazing photos. It came in very handy on my 3 week tour of California, Arizona, Wyoming, Yosemite and Yellowstone this August.

I would say Yes buy this phone as it has proved itself quite well in the 21 months or so that i have had it.

Ive had this handset 10 months now and at first i really liked it.  The speakers are great and as a result so is the sound quality.  The big BUT comes with how slow it is, as soon as you start to personalise the phone it becomes sluggish and the rotating view on the screen freezes, its takes an absolute age to switch on, it often crashes and the battery is quick to run down and slow to charge up.  The negatives far outweigh the positives and as an avid nokia fan it pains me to say give it a miss.

I've had this handset for a couple of months now and really like it, it is easy to use and as a brilliant sound to it.  The only 2 problems I have found is that when I turn it on sometimes is crashes and turns its self back off but this is easily sorted out by turning it on again or removing the battery then turning it on, also sometimes when surfing the web it closes down the browser and I have to start again,  Ovi store do some fab apps I would recommend this phone to anyone the screen is very easy to see, the camera takes good pictures and it is very easy to navigate.

Came across this in Moscow in the real flesh.
Surprisingly good sound.
Interface pretty impressive in places like music use.
Had more features than my iPhone but not as nice to use but then if it is sold at £249 in UK as advertised a lot cheaper and you can do the things you get used to having.
Easy enough to hold in one hand and use which is good. Materials reflect the price but still solid enough.
