Nokia has announced yet another QWERTY mobile phone called E5, after its much talked about handset Nokia C6. Though Nokia E5 is not a combination of touch screen and QWERTY, rather it concentrates only on the texting feature. The major highlight of the mobile phone is bringing a super effective QWERTY handset with an affordable price tag. After introducing some effective mobile phones in the range of E Series like Nokia E75 and Nokia-e72 in 2009, the mobile phone company has decided to extend this legacy and announced the arrival of E5. Nokia E5 will run on the Symbian™ 60 third edition feature pack 2 and it will be targeted to the mid-level mobile phone users. Available in the slab form, this QWERTY device is rich other prominent features such as triband 3g, Wi fi, 5 mega pixel EDoF camera, built in GPS and RAM of 256 M, which is first among the new Symbian™ powered Nokia handsets. Not only that, e5 is well equipped with the most –Nokia E5-demand features of present mobile telephony – social networking. The social messaging software suite of the mobile phone delicately supports popular social networks, email and instant messaging. Therefore, it is well-equipped with the best of communication features. It is speculated that the price tag of the mobile phone will be around EUR 180 without subsidies and taxes. Announced in April, Nokia E5 is expected to make its arrival in the third quarter of 2010.

Nokia E5 – the look and display

Touted as the successor of Nokia E63, e5 has improved its looks and features. The size of both the handsets is almost similar. E63 has dimension of 113 mm x 59 mm x 13 mm, whereas E5 measures 115 x 58.9 x 12.8 mm. The profile of Nokia E5 is more rounded and bigger than another popular handset in the E series - the E72 (114 x 58.3 x 10.1 mm and 65 cc). There is a slight modification in the bottom row of the keyboard to make it more spacious and comfortable to type. The other handsets in the E series included four keys on the bottom row of either side, while Nokia E5 includes only three keys each. The overall design of the mobile phone seems to be quite attractive. The 2.4 inches TFT screen mostly covers the upper portion of the handset, and it comes with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It displays 256,000 colours. Just at the bottom of the display, you can control the vital keys such as "Menu", "Contact", "Home", "Messages", and call and end button. The full QWERTY keyboard can be accesses immediately after the display and the major functional keys. If you flip the phone to see its reverse portion, you can find the lens of 5 mega pixel camera and the logo of Nokia.

Nokia E5 – network and connectivity

No matter whether a mobile phone is affordable or expensive, good network features is a must – to – have option. Nokia E5 – the memory
