Rating: out of 5.Okay, but seen better
Had this phone for 6 months with nothing but problems with it. It keeps cutting out and developed a fault saying insert SIM all the time at random intervals. Had it repaired 4 times over a month at the Carphonewarehouse and eventually they exchanged it for a C902 which is much better. The guy in the shop said they have had loads of the C510's coming back due to this error and its costing Sony a fortune. Apparently its a software issye they can't repair! DONT buy it! Get a C902 instead, its a much better camera and much faster software!
Rating: out of 5.I WANT ONE!!
I really like this phone and I have had no problems with it at all. It has everything I wanted:
1. Easy to use;
2. Small and light;
4. MAC and PC compatible which was a must for me;
5. Easy to update the software - you can even do this over the air so it's that simple;
6. Packd with plenty of features and the camera is fine;
7. Sony Ericcson's support is also great and their website is excellent if you can't be bothered to read the manual or don't know how something works;
8. The price is very reasonable.
Personally I think this 'phone is great value. I have mine in energetic red which looks quite cool but I guess with mobiles a lot is down to personal preference and what one person likes another one will not. It's a case of love it or hate it and I love it!

I've already Added one comment of 3 days experience with C510. Now after using three weeks ....the review is as follows.
I’ve purchased C510 about three weeks back and continually facing the issues. This phone is released in the market without proper quality check.
• Its camera is not user friendly, most of the time photo became fully black when shoots
• In night or in bulb light. Its flash and exposure are not seems synchronize. Some times flash glows early and snaps expose later so fully black picture remains.
• Image not seems stabilize; have panning image if object is moving.
• Many times it send “Busy tone to caller when press the call pickup button”.
• One major problem Its screen get split in two parts and screen’s mirror image appears twice on the screen.
• Some time screen get freeze and not work for some time.
• It’s Speaker is not audible, sound loudness is very low.
• It is not good audible if receiving a call.
Before this I was using K750i and I was really very happy with that one.
I’m facing these Major issues and not enjoying my new phone, Please help me out to replace my phone. I've also written this to Sony Ericsson company.
Rating: out of 5.Okay, but seen better
I've purchased this phone because I was interested to shoot pictures, earlier I was using K750i and I was very much happy with his Quality and performance. After loosing that phone I brought up with C510, and after handling last 3 days I found that it’s not very featured as compare to my old one. Picture quality is also not very enhanced, the display of menu and some internet features was enhanced but not useful for me, I’m interested for photo side.
Snaps are good in Day light for outdoor shooting, but very bad in indoor or bulb or tubes light. Sound quality also not enhanced, it’s like cheaper phones and loudness is also very dim.
Few features I’ve tries to find like how to set screen light setting, I want the light glow for complete call duration. Not able to find many of these settings.
Overall I’m not satisfied with this phone after investing huge money. Wastage of money, Its previous versions like K750 or K790 was more powerful and user friendly.
Rating: out of 5.I WANT ONE!!
A very nice phone
I've had that phone for a while now, after an 6680 NOKIA phone which was a total waste of money. I'm thrilled with it. I rarely crashes, pictures are nice enough (for it's extra cheap price) with nice features like face recognition and slim size. I've thrown an 4 Gig memory card in it, and it is still super fast. I definitely recommend that phone.
Rating: out of 5.Don't buy it
A nice looking phone with some fancy features, if your main purpose to buy this phone is for taking pictures, do yourself a favour and stay well clear.
I have just been upgraded to this phone from a K800 that I've had for over 2 years. I told my supplier that picture quality was of upmost importance and shots I have taken with the K800 beat the C510 hands down.
I tried to take a picture of something yesterday in broad daylight, and the object was still, every shot I took was blurred and nothing I did would correct it.
This has got to be one of Sony Ericsson's worst phones ever brought out and I have had many over the years.
Stay well clear!!!
