The Sony Ericsson is soon to launch their new mobile phone model, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8. The phone is expected to hit the shops some time in the third quarter of 2010. The Apple iPhone 4 is recently launched. The hype created by the Apple iPhone 4G is extra ordinary. Close on its heel, the expected release of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8, heats up the mobile phone market. The Apple iPhone 4G has kept the customer expectation. It has delivered exciting features that were never seen before. What has the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 got to offer? Well, Sony Ericsson is keeping all the details about the XPERIA X8, still a secret. However, the mobile market is a buzz with rumors about the details of the said phone. Even some photos are in the circulation which claims to be showing the SE XPERIA X8. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 which was given the code name Shakira is stirring up the public interest. It remains to be seen, how much of the public interest translates into sales for Sony Ericsson.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 comes fitted with a TFT capacitive touch screen. The 3 inch screen supports 16 million colors. The pixel resolution is quite high in the XPERIA X8. It offers 320 x 480 pixel resolution. High pixel density ensures sharp pictures and crisp texts. The screen is ideal for working on the internet. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 supports 2G and 3G networks. The XPERIA X8 is GPRS enabled. The Class 10, 236.8 Kbps EDGE option is available in the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8. The Bluetooth® connectivity is a standard feature of the X8. The Bluetooth® is version 2.1 with the A2DP. Unfortunately, keeping with the latest trends, the infrared port is not provided in the XPERIA X8 mobile phone. The version 2.0, micro USB port is provided on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 has the potential to be the best seller of the year. However, the completion is tough. The Samsung B7722 is also recently launched in the market. This is a high end dual SIM mobile and has no competitor in its segment. The Samsung B7722 is surely to grab a section of the existing mobile market globally. It remains to be seen how the market reacts to the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 mobile phone.

Don't buy it 
i initially got the phone bcause it looked really good plus my old phone was ericsson so i did an upgrade to the xperia x8 but i was very disappointed when the phone stopped charging after 4 weeks.went back to the shop and made a complaint. they refused to give anew phone but after a good argument i got a new handset but this also had the same problem after 11 weeks so im very disappointed otherwise i really liked the phone.

Don't buy it this is quite possibly the worst mobile /cell phone i have ever had the mistake to accept as an upgrade, it proved to be unresponsive, constantly prone to freezing/locking up, and had a very short battery life between charges, i would not recomend this to anyone, after receiving my 2nd handset and having the same problems all over again, including not being able to answer a very important call, i phoned my service provider to be told tha she wasn't authorised to allow me to exchange the handset for a 3rd time, however eventually ( and not without a lot of threatenong to get offcom /trading standards involved) i was transfered to the team that deal with people wanting to cancel their upgrade.. and surprise surprise i am now the happy 'owner' of the nokia x3 a much better unit in every respect

Don't buy it This phone looks very nice but I did not find it very user friendly. Got it as an upgrade but sent it back within a week. It was very tempermental. The user guide did not help me with some items I needed to know. Personally found the phone to be completely useless. I have always had Sony Ericsson phones but felt really let down by this one.

Good mobile phonebought this handset the day to upgrade from my zte f107 which was rubbish,i found the sony erricsson x8 a very nice phone the touch screen is very sensitive i found and the phone very good it has android 2.1 software on it and loads of extras on it,plus it has a screen protector which comes with the phone and plus u get a free 2gb memory card with phone, so if ur going to but this phone i can recamend this phone and its under £100 as well.plus its good in black.
