Recycling your old mobile phone is a great way to make some extra cash from something you most likely won’t use again. When the recycling company receives your old mobile phone there are two possible paths they may take, recycle or re-use. If it is possible to re-use your old mobile phone then the companies who buy your handset first have to put it through extensive testing. If the handset passes the testing or only requires a minor fix then it will be refurnished which generally involves giving the handset a new outer case and re-using the screen and electronics from within. Once refurnished the handset is given a new box and sent on its way for re-use. Often re-use will be outside of the UK.
If it is not possible to re-use your old mobile phone because it is broken or simple just too old they will recycle the mobile phone.
